Dhyana Yoga and Wellness Yoga

“This studio has truly become my second home. It is not just a place I come to work out, but a space that has shaped me, grounded me, and become part of my life.

The variety of classes is incredible. Hot and regular vinyasa, hot power yoga, Ashtanga, slow flow and gentle flow, beginner and fundamental classes, yin yoga, mobility classes, restorative sound baths, sculpt and barre, and beginner to advanced aerial are all offered. There is truly something for everyone, no matter where you are in your practice. And I love seeing people of all different levels, ages, and backgrounds join together in one welcoming community.

What really sets this studio apart is the quality and depth of the teaching. The instructors are knowledgeable, respectful, and deeply rooted in yoga beyond just the physical poses. Many of the classes, especially Ashtanga, are taught with sincerity, reverence, and a strong connection to the spiritual foundation of yoga.

Since joining just a year ago, I have genuinely watched myself grow into my practice, both physically and personally. The community here is warm, welcoming, and inclusive, and I have always felt supported and encouraged to grow at my own pace. I am truly grateful to be part of this studio.“

“Every session feels thoughtfully designed, challenging in the best way, and tailored to what my body actually needs. CJ’s cues are incredibly clear, her knowledge of alignment and anatomy is impressive, and she always knows how to adjust an exercise so it feels both safe and effective.

What I appreciate most is the balance she strikes between encouragement and precision. I leave every class feeling stronger, more grounded, and genuinely cared for.“

“I am always skeptical when trying a new provider. My body takes a beating from work and training. Leo told me he used to work on NHL players, so that left me assured I was in great hands. He is excellent. Thorough and patient and listens. Highly recommended“

“I've been training at Mountain Martial Arts as an adult student, and I can't say enough great things about this school. If you're looking to learn traditional Goju-Ryu karate in a welcoming, disciplined, and authentic environment, this is the place. The instructors are incredibly knowledgeable, and they do a fantastic job balancing tradition with practical application. There's a real sense of community here — everyone supports one another, regardless of age or experience level. I’ve gained not only skills, but also a deeper appreciation for the art of Goju-Ryu. Highly recommend!“

Crunch Fitness - East Brunswick Yoga

“I was a health club regular for 30+ years until Covid hit, and my gym of many years closed most locations. I tried another gym affiliated with a local hospital, but it wasn't a good fit. I got a gift membership for Crunch in East Brunswick in 2024, and decided to get a personal trainer. I'm happy with the facility, which is convenient for me, and have continued my membership. I'm extremely happy with my trainer, Ralph Hernandez, who is excellent. Professional, courteous, knows how to motivate and encourage, and a decent human being. I look and feel better physically.“

“The Exceptional Wellness Counseling is an excellent resource for empathic and warm counseling services for adults and families in Manalapan and Red Bank. They are a leader in treatment for a wide range of challenges for adults, teens and children. Look to them for help with parenting, academic challenges, anxiety and depression. It can be so hard to find someone you can trust, to talk about those things that are so private to you. I've known the owner Lisa for years, and consider her a trusted colleague. And, I know she has built an all-star team to help you reach your goals. A great place to seek safe and confidential help, and an outstanding place to work! I would definitely refer my close friends and beloved family to Exceptional Wellness Counseling.“

“Review: Chrissy is the Real Deal

5 Stars

Here’s the thing about getting older. You suddenly realize that “staying busy” is not the same as “staying healthy.” I learned this the hard way after losing a friend way too early to heart disease. That’s when it hit me. If I actually want to make it to my golden years in one piece, I need to stop pretending that running around like a crazy person counts as exercise.

So I joined the gym. Full disclosure, I’m 6 feet tall (in heels, obviously), hovering somewhere north of 230 pounds (my mom reads these things, so I’m being very conservative here), and I had exactly zero idea what I was doing. My master plan was simple. Pay enough money and the sunk cost fallacy would drag me in three times a week. Foolproof, right?

Wrong. Spectacularly, wonderfully wrong.

I walked in expecting Chrissy to be my accountability partner in an expensive game of “guilt into gains.” Instead, she turned out to actually care. Not in that performative “I’m getting paid” way. She’s looked at my workouts, my diet, my sleep schedule, my stretching routine at home. She’s basically appointed herself the guardian of every system I have going, and somehow that’s made all the difference.

But here’s what really gets me. She’s made this fun. I know, I know. Working out is supposed to be a joyless slog through suffering. But Chrissy has somehow made it feel productive and enjoyable, which should be illegal.

Whether you’re a complete newbie like me or you’re circling back to fitness after a long hiatus, Chrissy will build a plan that actually fits your life. So go see her. And when you do, tell her Neal sent you.“
