From our very first phone call, I could tell how deeply she cares about the dogs she works with. She asked thoughtful questions about my dog’s grooming needs and health history not just to go through the motions, but because she genuinely wanted to understand how to give him the best experience possible. It’s also reassuring knowing that every dog at the salon is up to date with their vaccinations.

One of the things I love most about Be Happy Dog is the visibility. You can actually see your dog being groomed through the large front window, which gives me so much peace of mind. In the past, I’ve taken my dog to salons in NY/NJ, where I had to hand him off to a receptionist and wouldn’t see him again until the appointment was over. That always made me feel a bit uneasy especially with the unfortunate stories you sometimes hear in the news about mistreatment in grooming facilities.

At Be Happy Dog, everything is out in the open. There’s nothing hidden and that level of transparency is so rare and so appreciated! Of course, I try not to let my dog see me watching — he gets too excited and I don’t want to distract him, MJ, or her wonderful team while they work.

The fact that this salon uses organic shampoos and products is another huge plus, especially for my dog’s sensitive skin. And the blueberry facial? It smells AMAZING!! No other salon has ever made him smell this good. I feel so lucky that my precious poodle gets pampered here.Truly.
