“I’m in tears actually, as I post this!! All 6’3” and 425lbs of tattooed and pierced burly bearded man, that I am!! This place must have been blessed by Jesus- these staff members, vet techs, vets, and all the above r literally going to have mansions in heaven!! I had rescued these two fur babies from a bad situation/ not a shelter or rescue place- a cold backyard in the hood inside a 30 something inch rusty foldable wire crate they could barely lay down in together!! They hadn’t eaten all day at least- who knows why, at only 18 months old (if that’s really how old they r) someone would abandon them??? I was told they were show dogs?? Did they lose a show? Where they too much to love or handle? Who know who cares but I came to the rescue!! Even tho I’m on a fixed income receiving SSI for my mental and physical health- which I wasn’t always this way- and NO ONE within several miles of me wanted to help!! I had blew over $300 I didn’t have sending my bank account under negative by hundreds and THIS PLACE HELPED ME WHEN NO ONE ELSE WOULD!! I don’t have pet insurance and no credit thing or funding thing will help me cause credit wise I don’t exist!! BUT THEY DID!! They worked with me so I could ensure they got their shots and dewormer- I now have another issue and the vet place I went to by me charged me over $3000 JUST TO SEE WHATS GOING ON!! This place quoted me less than or about half that!! And said they’d still work with me and also help me find resources to make it happen!! I love these dogs and I like them needed a second chance and for someone to take a chance on me and they need that too!! But as much as I love my babies if I had to surrender then or one of them so they COULD get the help they need I would do whatever I have to so that they’re ok!! I’m not selfish!! But I do wanna keep my babies as they’re r and we’re bonded to each other and now to me as well!! And they’ve been through enough!! They deserve the best in life!! And I thank and bless everyone at the VIP Animal Hospital here in Elizabeth- and soon will find out how the Wayne location is cause they’re closer to where I live!! But I must say so far my experience has been nothing but a blessing!!! Thank God there’s still decent ppl in the world!!“

He fell in love, at first sight, with the vet techs and Dr. Dick! He was comfortable lying on the floor with his head on the vet tech's lap. “They do a great job taking care of my girl. My only issue is occasional conflicting information. Example. She was just in for her annual exam. I was told a stool sample wasn't necessary, yet the vet asked for one during the visit.“

“The vet here was absolutely phenomenal. He understood my financial situation and worked with me. My cat, Bryan, seems to be doing better. I came in frantic and scared, but the staff was extremely empathetic and prompt in getting Bryan the care he needed. We are still monitoring Bryan, but he is doing better. “If I could give them 10 Stars I would. I can't say a bad thing about anybody in this facility. From the front desk to the vet techs and definitely the doctors. They treat my baby Luna as if it was their own. They are so knowledgeable and compassionate and really take the time to make sure that I understand every diagnosis. I've had some difficult times lately with my pug but they sit and explain until I am comfortable .I truly would never go anywhere else.“

This was my review from a long time ago, service has gone downhill since Dr Jablecki left and all the front desk people and tech people left we used to know them all and were great. The new hires have no clue and are happy to pass you on to other vet hospitals, being a long time client meant nothing. Also the last time we took our friendly for nail clipping he was bleeding we didn’t realize until we got him in the car. Hope things change soon. Last call with the receptionist was good.“

“BAY STREET ANIMAL HOSPITAL did a fantastic job with my cat Teddy Nemo. Teddy had been crying alot and struggling to go to the bathroom. I had no idea what to do, I was very stressed out! I made a few calls, and found Bay Street Animal Hospital, 999 Bay Street, Staten Island. They said they take walk-ins (emergency situations get seen immediately). The walk-in price is $150 to get full check-up. They reported they are open 24/7. I was RELIEVED to hear all of that, PLUS the kind person with whom I spoke-- SAMANTHA-- really made me feel LESS stressed. She was kind and welcoming when Teddy Nemo and I walked in. It is SO important to get COMPASSIONATE helpful staff at the front desk!! Thank you Samantha ❤️. Next we were greeted by Andre--- SO pleasant and helpful and very understanding when I said I was so worried about Teddy! Then Dr. Arleo came in to do a thorough check up on Teddy. Overall, I loved the way they treated me and Teddy. Consummate Professionals, very knowledgeable, accommodating, excellent listening skills. Dr. Arleo was super kind, empathetic, helpful, and understood my financial concerns. I am profoundly GRATEFUL to everyone at Bay Street Animal Hospital and I will not forget how kind & wonderful they treated me & my cat, Teddy. A thousand THANK YOUs to all of you!
