When I first started, I didn't have a specific active injury. Instead, I had chronic pain in many areas due to the combination of issues with posture, strength imbalance between left and right, and many past injuries/surgeries.
The biggest breath of fresh air for me was that John and his team treat the root cause of the issue by examining your body as a whole and actually strengthening the underlying weaknesses and instabilities that are to blame. In the past, other physical therapists would only treat the one part of my body that was actively having issues. Inevitably, my problems would always come back because they had only done a band-aid fix, rather than solving the actual cause.
The other big difference is that Toro doesn't only use the typical physical therapy treatments that I had in the past, such as bands and ladder exercises, they also teach you to properly lift real weight and build actual strength. I can already tell that developing this type of functional strength will heavily carry over to making many other aspects of my life easy and pain-free.
After only a month of therapy, I am already noticing a significant reduction in pain, improvement in posture, and increase in functional strength (which has also carried over into my normal weight lifting). I feel better and stronger than I have in over a decade, and I can only imagine how much better I will become with more time and hard work. I absolutely plan to work with Toro long into the future.
I'd also like to mention Callee and Tim. Callee is who will greet you at the front desk, she is very kind and helpful and makes scheduling and the payment/insurance side of things simple. Tim assists John in working with and helping his patients to make sure they have all the knowledge they need to do their exercises properly and he is always a pleasure to work with as well. Overall, the whole team is incredible.“

I appreciated that Victor understood and took into account all of my fitness and strength goals! He formulates training sessions with all of those goals in mind, pushing me harder week after week! He’s extremely knowledgeable, keeps the sessions motivating, fun and challenging. Hands down the best trainer I’ve ever worked with.

Nothing was wo6for me. I went to see Dr. Miranda on Tuesday and this Dr. completely turn that all around. My headaches went from 100% to 40% in just one session. Now i an move my neck backwards and sideways. My lower back pain reduced as well. The shoulder pains I had eliminated down to 20%. I thought I was going to have to get surgery. Now I will not even think about surgery. I will continue my sessions with Dr. Miranda. I have faith this doctor will help me with my back and neck. He's an amazing doctor. Such a kind and understanding doctor who listens and knows what to do.“

I went in because of pain in my lower back and was very nervous about having someone stretch me for an hour. Marty was very gentle and was good with feedback if I needed more or less pressure. Very professional and looking to help. It’s day one but I don’t feel any crazy soreness or pain but definitely less pressure in my back. This for pain management over time is worthwhile. Would love to go back regularly but I live hours away but I’ll definitely be back when I’m in the area again.“

“I’ve been a member of PURSUIT FITNESS for about six months now, and I can honestly say it’s the best gym I’ve ever joined. The owner, Adam, is an outstanding trainer. Every workout is different; three days a week focus on weightlifting, while the other three are dedicated to aerobic conditioning. The workouts are well thought out, and Adam takes the time to clearly explain each movement, ensuring that everyone performs the exercises with proper form. The sessions are challenging, but the atmosphere is supportive, with everyone being friendly and encouraging. In this short time, I’ve noticed improvements in both my aerobic capacity and strength, and I’m excited for future progress. As an added bonus, the gym participates in road races as a team, and I’m looking forward to my first race this month. Adam is a ranked athlete himself, so he truly leads by example.
Adam takes great pride in his gym, and it shows. The gym is always clean, and the bathroom is spotless.
