“My wife and I needed new gutters, as our home is surrounded by towering trees on 3 sides.The half-round classic style gutters would fill up and clog 5 times a year. I'd end up climbing ladders, which grew old quickly.We went online and searched for gutter guard companies. I submitted my email address.We began receiving phone calls from several companies. We made appointments with the first 3 that contacted us.The third company to call was America Home Crafters Remodeling. I actually was able to speak with Tom Jackson, the Senior Project Manager.He scheduled an appointment and we met on our back patio the next day. He spent several hours with us, explaining his product and warranty. It was immediately apparent to me that his company had the superior product.Choosing to go with Tom was an easy call. He is knowledgable and honest. He recommended we go with 5" Seamless Gutters with American Gutter Guards.About a week later, Ed McGhee, his premier gutter installer came by to do the install.He began at noon this past Wednesday. He worked until 830 p.m. Then he returned yesterday at 11 a.m. and finished at 630 p.m.We also had a lot of moss growing on the roof. We picked up a "soft-wash solution" and Ed spent 2 hours staying it on every square inch of the roof. (That kind service was not part of the contract, but Ed did the extra work with a smile.)The new gutters have given our home a facelift. I will never have to climb another ladder, as Tom guarantees that they will not clog.So. “I'm fairly stingy with my ratings so take this Good rating as sign of a quality roofing company who stands by their work. Even a Good roofing company is hard to find in Philadelphia. I have found Marcy the owner is to be straightforward and honest, and though she can be a bit brusque at times, as she is in the Philadelphia roofing business I can understand. Their pricing is reasonable for quality of work. No roofer is cheap and if you apparently find one, don't trust them.
We have a complicated roofscape (skylights, large AC unit mounts and penetrations, and major crickets required to clear drainage obstructions) and some leaking problems that predate our ownership.
Castelli, and particularly their foreman Jimmy, have been generous in attending to drainage problems that may or may not have been a result of their work.
I appreciate their work and the efforts made to help us negotiate our finicky roof.“
