We’ve had such a great experience at Ocasio’s Studio! I had been wanting to sign my boys up for karate at Ocasio’s Studio for a while, but my oldest was hesitant and kept saying he “wasn’t built for karate” because he’s not very flexible. Around that same time, I took a women’s self-defense class there, and it completely changed my perspective, I felt more aware and confident and knew this was something I wanted for my boys too.

Our daughter has been attending Ocasio’s True Martial Arts in Plaistow since fall of 2024, and joining this dojo has been one of the best decisions we’ve made for her. She loves everything about karate, and that’s all thanks to the incredible instructors—Deshi D’Agati, Deshi Flibotte, Kohai Mazur, Kohai D’Agati, and Kohai Duquette.
They truly care about the kids and teach so much more than karate—instilling valuable life skills, respect, confidence, and discipline. They truly have become role models for her.
