My daughter has been a student at Shinobi since we moved to Massachusetts 5 years ago. She had studied martial arts her entire life and we wanted a school that taught practical martial arts that worked for women (as well as men). We spent 2 years looking for a school and in the ended landed on Shinobi which was a 45 minute drive in both directions because Dennis and the community are that good. World class real deal teacher here.

I've been studying at Shinobi Martial Arts for several years now and really appreciate their approach to teaching martial arts. They take a holistic, reality based approach for teaching practical skills and communicating a complex system of learning in a highly understandable way.I have found that they truly care about the outcomes that their students are trying to achieve and work with them in a friendly and non-pressured way.I would recommend studying at this dojo if you want to learn the art of ninjutsu in a safe, hands-on, and non-threatening environment.

10 out of 10 HIGHLY recommend??????. I started training at Shinobi Martial Arts with Dennis Mahoney and Theresa Murphy in November of 2019. The first 3 months have been life changing, and I really mean that! I love it there!! The training atmosphere is SAFE, welcoming, clean, challenging, and fun!!Theresa and Dennis Have a great dynamic and are really good teachers. They adapt each lesson to multiple learning styles at the same time and on demand. It’s crazy! And, if you don’t understand something, they will work with you, until you do. Their passion is always felt and highlighted in their approachability, energy, and drive. Not once have I felt intimidated or unsafe...read full review

From Shinobi Martial Arts

We help students learn Ninjutsu with simple science so that they can go beyond the need for size, strength, and speed to unlock the hidden magic in martial arts. But it's not for everyone. We do not work with: children under the age of 13, people who want to compete in competitions, or anyone looking to feed their ego with an easy black belt. Here's who we work with: If you agree there is always more to learn no matter what belt rank you have, you are able to open your mind to radically different ideas and ways of doing things, and if you are willing to take part in an interview to ensure you and the dojo are a match, then we should definitely talk. There's no charge for this and it's totally free. Apply for your interview today.
