Update October 2024: Oakes is still the best place in town for veterinary care from my experience all these years later. They helped us through two years of treating diabetes in an senior cat very compassionately and are now helping us deal with another senior cat as he deals with constant upkeep shots.
They're often very very busy, please be patient they're dealing with lots of other passionate pet parents.
TLDR: This vet is amazing, it is the number one place I trust with the health and well-being of my cats. I believe you should bring your pets here.

Both of the Dr. Oakes are wonderful. They are extremely knowledgable and, Dr. Rocky in particular, is so kind and patient. We never feel rushed through appointments and both doctors have gotten one of my dogs through a very serious illness. They even have an occasional floating vet, Dr. Burkart that is also fantastic. The parastaff does change fairly often, but that is the nature of the vet world. This team works with the Forsyth Humane Society when needed so they really do put the animals first.
