I just had a massage with Patricia at Westlake Massage, and it was absolute magic. “I never thought I’d be the type to do Pilates or hot yoga – or to get up early and exercise before work – but Belmont Yoga has me out here changing my perspective! Pilates seemed intimidating at first, but the teachers (Aletheia and Reeves) are welcoming and don’t push you to keep up. They’re always encouraging you to listen to your body and do the moves you want to do. Everyone I’ve met in class is friendly and they’re from all walks of life. I never feel judged, even when I’m just laying on my mat taking a rest during our workout (which is absolutely encouraged). Pilates was HARD in the beginning, but with each class, I’m taking one step at a time toward my goal of getting stronger. I’ll end with the best thing I learned at the studio: the hardest part of any class is showing up, so if you show up, you’ve already done the hardest part.“
