“The Backroom Barbershop is a clean professional shop that does solid work and treats customers with respect. The cut I received was even and done the way I asked. The barber took time to check the shape and clean up the details instead of rushing through the chair. That attention is what you want in a barbershop and this place delivered.
The shop itself is easy to walk into. The chairs are set up well the space stays neat and the wait did not drag on. Staff were friendly from the greeting to checkout and the conversation stayed comfortable without being forced. You can tell they take pride in the room and in the haircut. Music and the overall vibe stayed relaxed which made the visit feel like a real shop not a chain counter.
What stood out was consistency. The fade lines were clean the neck and edges were sharp and they asked what I wanted before the clippers came out. That simple step matters. Prices felt fair for the quality and I left looking the way I hoped to look. Parking and access were straightforward so getting in and out did not add extra hassle to the appointment.

“Sundays are scheduled around Mario. Vacations are planned around Mario. Family events have been moved because of Mario. If Mario has an opening, everything else becomes a “we’ll figure it out.”
I’ve been going to him so long that somewhere along the way he stopped being just my barber. The conversation is always great, the shop feels like home, and somehow he manages to make me leave looking better than I deserve every single time.
I’ve had to go to other barbers a few times over the years, and I can only describe it as heartbreak. Sure, I got a haircut… but it wasn’t Mario’s Fresh.
