It has taken me far too long to leave this review and for that I apologize. We took our 17 month old to get his first haircut. After a bit of research we found Styles & Smiles in Jacksonville NC and the reviews lead us to believe that Ms Alex was amazing. These reviews did not let us down or lead us astray.
We scheduled an appointment and went in not knowing how our toddler was going to react to having his haircut and hoped for the best.
When it was our turn our toddler was a little apprehensive because the child before him was very upset. We helped him in choosing a car to ride into his first haircut, he chose the fire truck, and Ms Alex went to work!
She was absolutely amazing and our little boy did so well during the whole visit. He was excited to choose a treat when he was done and since we had signed up for the First Haircut Package mom and dad got a keep sake certificate for the first haircut and a lock of hair.
We definitely will return for future haircuts and will definitely see Ms Alex again! We highly recommend Styles and Smiles for your first haircut and all of those that come after it.

i went in there hopeless because another salon totally messed up my bangs, Leann was there and said she could fix them for me right then and there. Not going to lie the whole time i was scared because the last time i let someone do something with my bangs i was very disappointed, but she turned me around in the chair and i just about cried happy tears when i saw the results because she did such a good job!! Wanted to wait a little bit before I left a review because with my hair fell out with my prior braider after a week. Being that I cut my Locs off, my hair is short and I do let my braider know before. My braids have lasted perfectly. It’s been almost 4 weeks. I am super satisfied. My two sons and my hubby go here regularly for their haircuts and they wont go anywhere else. The barber takes his time and makes sure everything is just right before he's done. Regardless of if there is a room full of people waiting, you know you are going to get the best cut worth every penny. Just an FYI it's cash only but if you forget your cash there's an ATM right inside for your convenience.

Once I heard the price, I honestly wanted to find a flaw and I truly could not.She does take her time.I think we did spend two hours there but the time taken and the money spent you get every minute and penny of it. She did an acrylic set for my daughter and it was exactly the picture my daughter asked for she goes through every step.She lets you know she's doing every step of the way and even gives you oil to come home with you. She's kind and even lowered her music so that my daughter could watch her t v show on her phone and she was very nice in talking to us about the t v show and just other things going on. ABSOLUTELY PERFECT.
Requested style: My daughter gave her a picture that had flowers on 2 nails ombre tips and a sparkle white nail. She went through all the colors helping to pick everything and even when my daughter said exactly as is she truly made it exactly as is without any flaws

Went in because I was told by girl friends that they could help with ingrown toenails and it was a weekend when the doctors offices were closed and I gave it shot.
They were right! The girl I worked with got it all out with almost no pain and cleaned it all up and got my pampered on with the rest of the pedicure.
The lady’s here were fine nice and friendly and had a great time. I will be back.
Been coming here for over a year and haven’t had any issues. The staff is nice, the prices are decent and the work is good. I’m off on Wednesdays, which is also the day they are closed. So if I need to get my nails done and it’s a Wednesday, I had no choice but to try a couple other salons in the area and each time I went somewhere else I wasn’t impressed. It reminded me why I go to VIP.

I was a walk in, they werent busy so I was seen immediately. I asked for gel polish French tips, I have never had gel polish before they asked if I wanted powder or designs etc, I said no. I also asked them not to cut or shape my nails. (I had a couple extremely bad experiences with acrylics in other salons where they over ground my nails.) The man who did my nails Dan, I believe, was very quick and did what I asked. No more, no less. They look great! I'm happy and not in pain lol

This company and their team is absolutely amazing! My kitchen sink stopped up last weekend and Dylan came out to help. Not only did he fix the problem, but he also found another issue with my septic system that needed to be addressed and fast. I had been having problems for a while and no one caught it although I have had several other companies come out for septic issues prior to me having a plumbing issue that required a call to Roto Rooter. Roto Rooter doesn’t even do much septic work, but they helped me anyways. These people know their stuff, their industry and all the other industries too. 20 out of 10 hands down the best plumbing company of all time. I highly recommend!!!

I got two quotes to have my stove and microwave moved to a wall about 5 ft from their original location. they came out. gave me a fair estimate. we're on time. the workers you wouldn't have even known they were here. they were quiet. did their job left, everything was clean. The second quote I received was from a company that was a chain. I didn't realize they were a chain until afterwards. Their quote was literally $5,000 more than John Starz!!!!! The gentleman that came out to give me a quote from the other company wore a shirt that said "sales is a sport". Though this man was very nice that shirt told me he could not have cared less about my needs and affordability that he just wanted to make the biggest sale possible. Well he did not make that sale through me. We've had John Stars to a couple things for us and have been very happy both times. Not only was he affordable and did a great job on the refinish, but they left the house very clean after their work! I have found it challenging to find competent contractors, with a good work ethic, but I would definitely use Rochelle the Floor Man again!Also, I would like to add that the one ☆ review by Mr. Kobell is not relevant to Mr. Rochelle's workmanship/professionalism/integrity. The review appears to be based on possible road rage? And, out of the 51 reviews that Mr Kobell has written, 44 are 1☆. I don't think that Mr. Rochelle's reputation should be affected by that. The process was smooth and easy. I worked with Lee and he was great. He helped me pick out the flooring, came to my house to measure the floors and gave me a quote within days. The flooring was a great price, Lee was able to schedule the install for a time that worked best for us and the installers did such a great job. They worked so hard to get the floors done within two days. I would highly recommend Floor Galore and will definitely use them in the future if we need any type of flooring done. I absolutely love my floors.
Update on review:Pros: Andrew cares about his customers and wants them to get the best value for their home. He's a great guy that means well but I think he is easily distracted with everything and a bit disorganized.Cons: After a couple of weeks I started noticing damages to my walls, nails still sticking out from the quarter rounds, and the kicker below my garage door came undone. Most likely from the dolly moving my washer and dryer in and out. There was also a 1 inch piece of flooring right under the quarter round that started to come up within the week. We got our floors done on August 28th. It is now November 6, and wheneverr I reach out or attempt to schedule a time for them to come, I get the run around and excuses as to when they'll be able to come repair.Overall the floors are great, although if I did reccomend to my neighbors and friends who are looking to redo their floors , I would encourage them do a thorough inspection of where they worked and make sure the problems are addressed before payment

Eastern builders did an outstanding job building my house on Topsail Island in 2012. They used the best materials and hired the best contractors. They never took shortcuts and worked with us every step of the way. I always knew my house was well built. It has withstood several small hurricanes, but last year when our island was hit by hurricane Florence, I came home and not only was my house still standing, but I had no damage at all!!! The only damage I had to the house was two ripped screens on my back porch. No roof damage, no water damage, no siding came off, no leaks in windows or doors-nothing!! It was a huge relief and I couldn't be happier knowing I hired the right company for building my home.

We moved to New Bern NC just over a month ago. We are very happy with our new home. This is our first home that we had built for us so naturally we had a lot of questions and concerns. All our question were answered promptly and satisfactorily. We just finished our 30 day check list and David and Scott were fantastic. Very professional and personable. Called Paul a little after 8:00 in the morning, and he was on site within 15 minutes to give me an estimate on removing a tree growing on the property. Amore Tree Services got the tree down, took it off the property, grounded the stump, and now you can’t even tell a tree was growing there. 100% recommend Amore.

I had to have a wisdom tooth extracted at the age of 48! I thought I had escaped having to have this done but no, the tooth started coming through at 45. I go to dynanibmc dental for my routine care and they offered to extract the tooth fior me. I didn't know they could do that at this office. I scheduled the extraction and on the day of the procedure I was very nervous The assistant listened to all my concerns and did everything possible to put me at ease. She used a numbing jelly on my gums before the doctor gave me the numbing shots. There was literally no pain involved with the numbing process or the extraction. They listened to me and did everything possible to make the removal off the tooth smooth and painless. I was so grateful for the level of kindness and care I was shown. I definently recommend this dentist for both kids and adults. The staff, hygenists and doctors are top notch.

I will not go anywhere else! I went in one morning because of constant and severe headache at the back of my head. I thought it was just a tension headache and that an adjustment would solve my issue. When it came time for my adjustment, Dr. Keefer took my blood pressure, which is standard practice in their office, and my blood pressure was 202/132. Dr. Keefer would not adjust me but recommended that I go to the ER immediately. She even offered to call an ambulance. Because of her, I went to the ER and was told that with sustained blood pressure that high, I could have had a stroke. Its been over two years and she still makes sure that im doing ok with my meds. Because of Dr. Keefer, I'm still around to play with my little girl. I owe so much to her. Thank you so much!
I was honestly nervous to go to a chiropractor at first, but I could not have chosen a better place. Dr. Richards was an absolute delight! She listened, she cared, and she adjusted me beyond belief. I’ve been carrying back pain from child birth for over a decade while traveling long distances and experiencing reoccurring injuries. I didn’t realize how misaligned I was. I was truly in disbelief as I was leaving. I felt lighter. My lungs had more air. My whole body felt like it had been tuned up.

All around amazing, polite, and competent staff. My dog Chulo is reactive and he was handled with so much grace. The staff knows how to put your pet at ease. We no longer live in the area but I don't think we'll find another vet that cared for him the way that Dr. Fuchs and the rest of the staff did.
Dr. Howard and his staff has always been caring, professional, and very personable. All of our pets have had the best of care. Any time we call we are seen in a very timely manor. I have adopted senior cats and they all needed special care, Dr. Howard is always so kind and takes time to explain everything to us. Our one dog was recently diagnosed with kidney diseas. Dr. Howard was quick to get us to the right people and place. My husband and myself feel very secure about taking our pets to Carolina Forest Animal Clinic and Dr. Howard has been a blessing to us. can't recommend him and his staff enough.

Great visit! The front desk, vet assistant, and vet were kind, knowledgeable, and efficient. We have routine vet tech appointments and my dog came back to the lobby tail wagging and happy. The visit was thoroughly explained and they happily answered any questions. We’ve had to relocate a few times and I always can tell if a vet is a good fit for my dog, he seemed pleased and happy with this visit. We will continue to use Bayshore.
Strained my low back & it was taking forever to get better. Hadn't had a massage in about 10 years, so was trusting the reviews to find a good place. They did not lead me astray. My masseuse was Madalyn. She was amazing. Nice atmosphere, from the check-in desk staff to the treatment room. Madalyn checked to see if I had any problems areas before starting & then worked on me for an hour. She provided a high quality massage & hit the area I was having problems with. I left feeling so much better. The environment, customer service, massage, & overall experience was great. I also love the ease of scheduling an appointment right off of the yelp page. They probably all do a great job here, but since I've only been here once, for now, I can definitely recommend Madalyn. I will be retuning.
