If you are in need of an eye doctor I highly suggest you get an appt at New Garden Eye Care Center (Trader Joe’s Shopping center). I went to them in February after wanting to find a new dr and I have to say that they are great. I saw Dr. Eric Ablott. His wife is also a dr there but I have not met her. He spent a good amount of time with me, was thorough, saw something that concerned him so he sent me to a retina specialist. No other eye dr had mentioned this to me and I’m a very cautious patient so I will always have something checked out and thank goodness I did. Specialist at the time said he didn’t think it was concerning. (Went for follow up today (8/9) and it’s a tear in my retina so I will be getting that fixed next month - so happy that Dr Eric sent me.) I then went back to New Garden Eye Care center and was fitted for my contacts and glasses. Top notch care. Heather, the patient care specialist is friendly and takes the time to explain your insurance benefits and advises you on how to get the most from your insurance. Brad, the Optician, listened to my concerns and heard my budget and got me in the best glasses and lenses for my budget. This was my first time needing multifocal contacts and progressive lenses in eyeglasses so those together are not cheap. John, the Optometric Technician, explained all the test he was going to perform and was very patient with me. If your are looking for a new eye care center, please consider this office. I am not affiliated with them nor am I related to them. I just had a great experience.
We saw this doctor for years at another practice. He has always been a good eye doctor so when we found out that he and his wife opened this practice we decided it would be worth the drive to stick with them. The office is clean and all of the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. If you don't have a eye doctor or if you are not happy with the one you have this place is top notch.
I’m so happy we visited today. They made us feel comfortable and Dr. Charlotte Ablott took time explaining everything to my son along the way, answering any questions he had. I truly appreciate the time she took with us. Everyone was so friendly and helpful between checking in, the eye exam, and helping my son choose the best glasses for him. We will definitely be back and we highly recommend New Garden Eye Care!
