They have some amazing people working here, and I believe many of the staff are doing the best they can within a difficult system. A lot of what happens seems to be limited by insurance requirements, military policies, and the larger healthcare structure they have to work within.

In my experience, they seem capable of handling many routine conditions well, but the hospital as a whole can feel overwhelmed at times. My husband and I were very impressed by the care my husband received at Womack. From the ER to hospitalization, Neuro surgery, neurology, step down unit, and 2 North was nothing but excellence. This includes the nurses, doctors, aids, and janitorial staff. Everyone was friendly and courteous. I wish some civilian hospitals would take customer service lessons from Womack. The biggest shout out goes to the staff at 2 North. You guys deserve a pay raise.

This is like the worst ER I've been too. In my hometown in New Mexico people literally die in the er just waiting in there but at least they make you feel comfortable offer you blankets and make you pee in a cup to see if your dehydrated. But here no you have to be really dying for them to actually do something it seems like. Yeah they took care of my son when he had RSV but I refuse to go here anymore for myself. I'll just go to cape fear.
