She does a great job on my hair and I'm usually out of the salon in about 2.5 hours, which I'd say is pretty good considering on those days I get a relaxer, cut, deep condition and roller set. There's also a place called Fat Albert's next door whose hamburgers I love after leaving the salon. =)“

“I got small boho knotless braids done here, and I couldn't be happier with the experience! I had a stylist cancel on me while I was in their shop and needed braids very quickly. African Queen of Braids was waiting at the door when I called them explaining how urgently I needed my hair done. They were ready within 4 mins. The stylists were very fast but still took their time to make sure every braid was neat and consistent. They used products that were soft and gentle on my hair, which I really appreciated. The braids weren't tight at all, yet I can tell they're going to last a long time. The atmosphere was calm and quiet, making it easy to relax while getting my hair done. They didn't rush me when it came time to pay or try to add any surprise charges, which showed great professionalism. Everyone there was friendly and made me feel comfortable from start to finish. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for beautiful, clean, and long-lasting boho knotless braids! It took about 5 hrs to complete my waist length braids. And they supplied human hair that has not tangled or been shedding. And the braids are very soft. They didn't rip my hair while combing it and they made me feel like family. I would give 10 stars if I could. The braids are VERY SOFT and LIGHTWEIGHT. and they provided the hair for me.“

“I love their work. I’m very picky about who I let in my head. Tina is the only colorist who does my hair to perfection and I don’t have to worry. My only thing is that I was ridiculed about my outfit because I had on a longsleeve shirt & right above the knee biker shorts. I am 25 and I received the “you don’t have to wear your legs out to get a man” speech. This along with Tony asking me did I know if I was going to heaven or hell in front of the other ladies in the salon caused me to feel a bit uncomfortable. This wasn’t my first time going to the salon (it was my second) but after that visit, I felt ashamed because if I repent for my sins, I would have preferred to do it in private not in front of a bunch of strangers. I’m not trying to bash them but this is just a head’s up for future customers. I love them regardless & still refer people to them when they ask who did my color.“
