“My 11 year old son started working out at The Grind a year ago. He plays football and soccer and has greatly improved his strength and conditioning. He has also increased his speed in the sports he plays. I highly recommend The Grind for youth fitness as it will help improve performance for any type of sport played. My son loves all of his coaches. They make the effort to find out strengths and weaknesses and tailor the workouts around that. I am grateful The Grind was recommended to us by a friend and now I recommend it to others just the same.“

“A year and a half ago, I re-injured my posterior tibial tendon in my left ankle and was told to pursue PT to prevent further damage. I was told that if I proceeded carefully and slowly, I’d be able to avoid surgery. That was my main goal.After doing a bit of research, I located TheraPlus which I liked because, in addition to PT, I also wanted personal training. TheraPlus—specifically, Aggie—was a fantastic find for both purposes!Aggie has been an absolute godsend! She is right on target with my PT needs, and has gotten me from the brink of surgery to about 75% resumption of my normal, active life. She is extremely competent and knowledgeable, and I have always felt that I was in excellent hands! Just as importantly , Aggie is an absolute pleasure to work with! She is very personable and engaging, and just a very nice person. Working with her actually made going to physical therapy and working out “fun.” She is always positive, encouraging and supportive, but mindful and careful of my limits. She has consistently gone above and beyond in communicating with my doctors and others who have helped along the way. I know for certain that I would not be where I am in my recovery journey but for Aggie.My husband and I are moving to Tampa, Florida next week and I honestly have to say that one of my few regrets is that I won’t be able to work with Aggie on a weekly basis. But, with all she has given me, I am confident I will be able to continue to move forward. I told her that on occasional return trips to St. Louis, I definitely plan to make appointments to see her just to check in. Tampa is going to have to really show me something special to meet the “Aggie standard.” I recommend her most highly for any PT, but definitely for foot-ankle problems. She’s a great personal trainer, as well! All in all, Aggie is simply the BEST!! ????“

“I started coming to Pilates + Yoga studio in Chesterfield 5 years ago. I initially bought a package of 10 with Groupon. I had done Pilates at someone’s home prior to coming to the studio.I am addicted to Pilates. It is a full body workout that gives you amazing results.I have had numerous instructors over the past 5 years and I am confident in saying that you will be happy with any of the instructors you have.I bought a membership which is the way to go if you enjoy Pilates and want to do it regularly. I also signed up for a specific day and class. Doing this assures me of my time slot. Since I have signed up I generally have Lindsay for my instructor. Lindsay is a great Pilates instructor. She has a background in dance and is a certified Pilates instructor. Lindsay’s classes are challenging and a good workout. Her instructions are easy to follow. She has great recall and knows everyone’s name and their restrictions.No matter your age, physical restrictions or activity there is a Pilates class for you. They also provide private and duet sessions if that is what you prefer.“

“Anyone who attends regular Pilates lessons at this facility will truly be investing for their future. As a sufferer of osteoporosis and arthritis, the benefits have been quite outstanding for me. I have increased my bone density from osteoporosis to osteopenia in my back and to within the normal range in my hips. My arthritic knees have stopped hurting due to the leg muscles I have built up. This is definitely due to my Pilates lessons as I take no medications for these conditions. As an added benefit, my rib cage is more defined, the muscles I have built are long and lean and I am so much more flexible. I started with private lessons intending to move on to group lessons but the benefits I have had from individual attention and tuition have made me want to stick with one on one lessons. This is a warm and friendly studio where every client is made to feel valued and appreciated. I cannot recommend highly enough!“

“This gym is for personal trainers and their clients only. You have to have an appointment with a trainer to use this gym. Everything in this gym is very clean, does not stink of body odor, the restrooms are clean, there are lockers and showers. Some people who come from work leave their tennis shoes there in a special area. I've been going consistently for 3 months and only about 3 out of 23 sessions has it been slightly crowded and even then the trainers are very considerate of each other and their clients. There are loads of machines, weights and floor work area. You can see this website for the trainers. I train with Titanium Fitness and highly recommend Diana Beckham or Chuck. “Sweatastic! Found this local F45 through classpass (message me if you have CP questions) and I'm so glad I tried it out. I took the Tuesday 9am class, and turns out Tuesdays are strength days, so it was less of a cardio focus. Still, I kept my heart rate up the entire time, because not only are you changing stations quickly, the moves are structured with some that will bring your heart rate up to ensure metabolic burn. I loved the positive vibe from both coaches (eek I forgot their names, man and a woman) and how they seemed to be watching my form at the right times and correcting a few small things here and there during my workout. The workout structure: It legit felt like I was in class for 20 minutes, not the 50 total my fitbit said. This is a plus for anyone who tends to get bored, or doesn't have tons of time to spend in the gym. In the 45 minutes of actual work I did, my fitbit said I still burned close to the same amount of calories from my self-guided lifting sessions at the gym that sometimes take double that time. The day I visited, we had 9 stations (each station is a different move/activity), and at these stations, we did three sets before rotating. Most of the stations were right next to one another, but it wasn't exactly circular, so if I got lost on where to go next, I just watched where someone else in my group was heading. There's also looped videos on the walls showing you the movements for each station, in case you need extra guidance or want to make sure you're doing a backward lunge instead of a forward lunge, etc. After completing all nine stations, three sets total at each station, we had what felt like a 30 second break before repeating all 9 stations again. The coaches weren't militant about "no breaks, no water until we say" which I've actually experienced at some places who run circuit-style workouts. I appreciated the ability to drink water after doing tons of under-hand pull ups. We finished class with a 2 minute plank. I made it to 1:40, dropped to my knees, but then at the urging from the coaches, finished the last 5 seconds back in final plank position. I was reminded to tuck my pelvis, keep everything in a line, and a few other tips focusing on form. Each day of the week is a different workout - I hope I can try all of them so I can compare! I saw they are (at time of me writing in Nov) a newer gym, and my only wish would be they offer childcare on weekends, but maybe one day once established. I enjoyed everyone's energy, the encouragement, the focus on form, the constant change, the adaptability for each station based on where I was at, and how quickly I got a good workout in!“

“Just turned 50 and I while I was strong (had been working out for years with weights and using fitness tapes), I started to be more sore, having difficulty bouncing back, etc. Suzy was recommended to me and I'm so glad she was. She helped me identify what I was doing "wrong", e.g., holding my body incorrectly, using weights incorrectly, stressing my knees unnecessarily, etc. Who knew? The stuff that doesn't bother you at 20 feels lousy at 50! She mixes Pliates with conventional weights to suit my needs, body type, and weak areas--like my knees. She even identified the source of much of my knee pain--knots in my legs above my knees. By rolling that area my knees are 75% better and I am going t the chiropractor far less. I know this sounds crazy but it's true. I am in far better shape now than in my 30's, not as sore, and I am far stronger than ever. I highly recommend her.“
