“TL;DR: Todd at John Beal is the guy you want. He went above and beyond, answered all my questions, checked in constantly, and made the whole drawn-out insurance/roofing process way easier than I ever expected.

I don’t usually write good reviews (I’m more of a “complain when things go wrong” type ?), but Todd really deserves it. This whole process started back in April and didn’t get finished until this past week thanks to all the insurance drama, and Todd stuck with me the entire time.

It was my first time dealing with a homeowner’s insurance claim and he walked me through everything, no matter how small my question was. I had to deal with a shady third-party adjuster who wouldn’t give me an estimate unless I agreed to use him, and then my insurance company dragged their feet and even refused to cover skylights because “they didn’t leak right away.” Through all of that, Todd had my back and helped me figure out what to do.

When it finally came time for installation, Todd didn’t just disappear—he came by multiple times, especially that first day, to make sure everything was going right and to see if I needed anything. Honestly, he made what could have been a nightmare into a much easier experience.

“I had a small basement bathroom that suffered water damage a while back. The bathroom was mostly destroyed to repair a foundational issue behind the bathroom shower. Fast forward a year and I contacted Home Sweet Home after another company took our deposit and vanished. Joe came out and gave a fair estimate for the work and the project was started probably less than a month after signing the contract. I could not be happier with the end result which was a complete remodel ( floor, shower, vanity, drywall, ceiling and accessories ).
