“I have been recommending the Florissant OAK STREET HEALTH OFFICE to ALLLL of my retired relatives and friends. THEY LITERALLY SAVED. MY. LIFE. I have always been relatively healthy and as a result I didn't stay on top of regular screenings--and neither did my former Prinary Care Physician. In late Jan. 2025, when they found out I hadn't had a mammogram in years, I was immediately referred to the imaging center of MY choice. I was found yo have Stage 1 Cancer in my right breast and Stage 0 (zero) in my left. I had a bi-lateral mastectomy in Mid-July with the Breast Surgeon of MY CHOICE. I did NOT need chemotherapy, nor radiation. The Oncologist of MY CHOICE has prescribed one, tiny Hormone-blocking pill per day--AND I FEEL GREAT. If I had still been going to my former doctor, no telling how long it would have been before I remembered on my own to get a mammogram.
At Oak Street, they make sure I get routine tests and screenings, stay on top of my shots and vaccination, they review all of my prescriptions and make sure to communicate with me and my eye doctors.“
