“Called late afternoon for a backed up sewer and had a tech sent out the next morning.

Jon arrived on time and snaked out our sewer from the house, then put a camera down to identify where the line was and identified the cause of our back up. Jon left some flags outside in our yard to mark where the damage is underground.

We got several different options on repair after he cleared the obstruction. Most were pretty expensive, but we were aware previously that this is a recurring issue that will require replacing of our underground line to the main.

Jon helped remedy a couple minor issues in the bathroom downstairs while he was working on our sewer, just because he noticed them.

“I've been in my house a LONG time. Like 40 years. I'm the original owner. So I've been through quite a few garbage disposals. We would replace broken ones with just another cheap one. We figured, it's just a garbage disposable. So the other day I got a spoon stuck in the disposal. When I got under the sink to try and loosen the garbage disposal up to loosen the spoon up, there was a bunch of water all over the bottom of the cabinet. I've been through that before. Uuugghhhh. I thought not again! So I got my iphone under the disposal to film what was going on and sure enough it was leaking. It leaked even when I didn't have the water running. So I called a couple places, trying to get someone out asap to install a new disposal. Everyone was saying next week. I told this company, can you please squeeze me in. I literally have water dripping from my disposal. The guy, I believe his name was Zach, was nice enough to squeeze me in the next morning. I said I'd like to upgrade on the power and I'd like a quieter one. He told me about one that was quiet, gave me a price, including labor, which I thought was extremely fair. He even had to go pick the disposal up at a plumber's store. So the next morning it was installed. Zack and Larry, the installer, were extremely nice and professional. The price was excellent for what I got. One place quoted me, just for installation, about $150.00 more than Gene's. Just for installation! Anyway, you would not believe how quiet this disposal is. You can barely hear it. I love it! Thank you Gene's Plumbing, especially for squeezing me in! You're my new plumber! Brace yourself! I always have some sort of plumbing issue! I'll put you on speed dial! lol“

I needed a main line rooter service as I had a clog causing a very slow drain. Every company I called was too busy that day except Pierpont. So I decided to give them a try.

They were fast and extremely friendly so I give them 3 stars for that! But the guy that did the service was not very confident and although he cleared the clog enough to open the drain, it was backed up again within a week. He only ran about 60-70 feet since he wasn't sure how far it was to the city line.

Since their invoice says no warranty, I wasn't going to call them again to pay out another $190. For this lack of skill and no warranty I can't give them 5 stars and I can't recommend them for this type of service. They may be better at their other services though.

The company I normally use was called as they charge $175 and they were able to clear it better after running a full 100ft. They also give you a 30 day warranty to visit again if it clogs up again.“
