Why is zero stars not available? Roy in billing and customer service is an extremely rude old man. I think he's horrible and needs to be re-trained in customer service. I was being nice and trying to figure out why my electric bill keeps going up every month because for Feburary 2024 it says we owe $458.49 ?????????? I told him I wanted to get this sorted before my husband finds out because he does not play about the bills and the fact that it's doubled since last month is going to make him someone you don't want to meet in person. Xcel lets themselves into your property, with the wrong equipment, to replace your meter. they don't call to let you know (they actually lied and said we got an email and a call a week prior but we've scoured and there's no evidence of this), if they do they'll hang up before you answer and just cop knock instead at 8am. if you aren't home they let themselves into your gated yard, multiple times because remember they don't have the right tools, and then leave it wide open so your dogs can escape later. when you call, you're told it's not xcels fault! bc they hired an outside company to do this, and they're not responsible for their actions. they record calls, so that...read full review
Absolutely worthless front desk experience. You walk in and are greeted by a security guard. They can neither confirm nor deny if a specific staff member works in the building nor answer any questions. Xcel does no walkups. They work out of an armored castle. They might as well just lock the doors and put up a sign that says 'go away'.
