Of the five companies we spoke with (one never even called back) Maple Crest with Greg Shaughnessy leading the way, was the only one that was genuinely interested in listening to us besides sharing their ideas. They proved to be trustworthy, demonstrated high integrity and paid close attention to detail.

The work crew was personable, polite, incredibly hard-working and take pride in their work Their professionalism from start to finish truly impressed us.

This was a large and expensive project, but their pricing was fair compared to others, and the quality of their work was outstanding.

“John, Jared, and Joe are an incredible team and completed the near impossible task of removing prior shoreline steel seawall and replacing it with a wood retaining wall combined with rock riprap. They did all their work in the middle of winter and obtained the required permit from the Minnehaha Creek Watershed District. The permit required a variance from the like-kind replacement rule and took about 9 months, 2 consulting engineers, and lots of sketches and drawings. They couldn't have obtained the permit unless the MCWD trusted them to play by the rules and do it right. The combined retaining wall and riprap was about 130 ft of shoreline. Both projects have held up very well over the years and look great. Tom was very nice to work with and brought a ton of effort to our project (e.g having multiple massive boulders delivered to our house so he could decide which one was going to be the best to incorporate).
