“I was seen on Wednesday March 19 by Dr. Ben, Brendon, and a 4th year medical student. I couldn’t have asked for a better team! After a bad experience with male dentists, I avoided them and all dentists for many years. I felt initially nervous at the appointment, and was hesitant because I wouldn’t be seeing the doctor I initially thought I would; Dr. Kelsey Sargent. However, Brendon made the conversation awesome and helped me relax after my initial fear. Afterwards, the trio did an amazing job taking care of my tooth that had broken and the conversation kept me feeling relaxed. The team here is amazing. Dr. Ben is trustworthy and has an awesome team of future dentists behind him, just like Brendon and the young lady who fixed my tooth. I would always recommend their service to anyone who needs it. If you’re nervous, just tell them; they will help you get through treatment unlike other dentists.“

“My husband just spent 5 days at Mercy in Muskegon and he received excellent care. The nurses and aides were wonderful to both of us. The doctors were not always very thorough in explaining things, other than the residents who were great at explaining what was going on and why they were doing what they did. The complaints I have are that he was in the ER for about 12 hours because they had no empty beds and they inserted a catheter because he wasn't urinating in the ER because he was unresponsive. He still has the catheter in and has to wait another 5 days before they will take it out and see if he can pee on his own. I am hoping he can. We were on the 7th floor and I was told it was a teaching floor and I am of the opinion that the students are going to receive excellent training. I hope we never have to spend that long in the hospital again, but if we do, I would go back to Mercy provided we were put on the 7the floor. There was a student nurse from Grand Valley that was there every day we were and he was very caring and careful with his care of my husband. If you had asked me how it was 10 years ago I am sure my answer would have been completely different than this, but I want to let people know that there are good people working there that are caring and kind.“

“They are friendly doctors and nurses here that show they care about you. They got me on the right track for a kidney stone removal. They were able to retrieve both stones. One being 7.5mm on the right still passable but the source of all my pain. They also retrieved the 9.0 mm sitting right on my left kidney. Which they say 8.0 is not passable so I was due for surgery and more then willing to just do it. There is one receptionist who is kind of rude to you if you try to hand her back the clip board. kind of treats you like your stupid I complained to the manager. They said I'm not the only one who's complained about her. Also it is not the first time she's been mean spirited towards me in the past as well. That last visit I had enough and told them they need to do something about her. Other then one bad egg, everyone else is really nice and helpful here.“

“Love my doctor but I wish she was at a different office. Dr Saenz is excellent, she listens and doesn’t just push pills or vaccines to treat symptoms, she gets to the root cause!
The issue I have is when it comes to follow ups with the office, rarely do I not have to call back and remind them or as the status of something. For example, a prescription- it was sent to the pharmacy, sent back for a pre authorization, Walgreens called 5 business days later asking me to follow up with the dr office, when I called I was told oops they haven’t done anything with that yet, I’ll remind the girls who handle it.
Same for a referral, I returned a call and was told the person I needed to speak with was on the phone & would call back….3 days later another person called asking if I had an answer. I explained I was waiting for a call and she apologized and said “she must have gotten busy and forgot sorry.”
I totally understand things happen, people are busy but it seems like EVERY time something additional is needed I have to stay on the office staff to follow up and get things accomplished. I work full time, don’t have time to babysit their employees but the dr is so great that I deal with the hassle.“
