“I can't stress enough how amazing Dr. Yaldo is at Bloomfield Hills Dental. He genuinely cares about his patients and their dental needs. I asked for a service that he refused to do because he felt it wasn't good for the health of my teeth long term. He recommended a less invasive treatment instead. I can't remember, the last time I went to a doctor that passed up the chance to make a quick buck over what was beneficial to the patient. His teeth cleanings and assessments are thorough and honest. “Speaking as a mom, I can tell you that sitting in the “parent” chair is much different than sitting in the chair myself! My 12 year old son experienced his first restorative (filling) appointment yesterday and was very nervous! I held it together for him and reassured him he would do great! From a parent standpoint, my heart ached because I knew how nervous he was, and how scary it can seem to need and have dental work done. Dr. Ami and Kailey, his assistant, completely met my expectations with the amount of compassion and patience and friendliness they exhibited throughout the appointment, as I was able to sit in the room with him during his procedure. My son had a great experience in Dr. Ami’s chair, with no post treatment discomfort, and has no fear for future dental treatment. This is huge!!“

The staff is uber-professional, warm and friendly. The practice is state-of-the-art and is located very conveniently (corner of Southfield Rd and 13 Mile). They have their own building, so I thought maybe it was a mega-practice.. but it is a father/daughter dental team. I am very pleased!“

He throughly explains the nature of the issues, is honest about recommended treatment, and is disarming. I had my front teeth reconstructed after chipping them and he did a tasteful, natural treatment that looks better than prior to the chipping—and he consulted with me throughout the process to get them exactly how I wanted. His staff, from front desk to hygienists are all warm, welcoming, knowledgeable, and accommodating. There might be long wait times for an appointment—but that’s for good reason…and it’s worth the wait.“

“I have been seeing Dr. Kangas since 2013, since 4 months after I moved to the area for a job. He is super nice, maybe top 10% of niceness compared to other doctors and people I have dealt with. I have been seeing him 3 times a year because I seem to get a lot of plaque and I wasn't brushing good because my teeth were hurting when I brushed, also I was eating too much fruit (I since quit the fruit diet, do not do what I did) and gave myself 4 cavities. The traumatic stress I sometimes get from unpleasant people may be messing my teeth up too. Dr. Kangas's gentle manner helped me get through the fillings better than I feared.“
