“I was very hesitant to come here over two years ago when I began receiving Medicaid after my divorce. I had been at the same dentist in Bloomfield for upwards of 10 years prior and made the assumption that because I was “assigned” Sunlite family dental as a new Medicaid recipient, the care and experience would be nothing like the place I was used to.

I couldn’t have been more wrong! Personally, I try to never make assumptions and I teach my son the same but I did in this case and decided to try the office rather than look for a different one because it was very close to home.

I have a wonderful experience every time I come here. Every one in the office is polite and professional and frankly the warm welcome that I receive is unlike any dentist or doctor that I have been to.

I have been shown compassion and empathy at a very challenging time in my life and for that I will always be grateful. Courtney is an absolute delight and asset to the team. I have had to reschedule multiple times due to my schedule and she continues to be kind and understanding and never makes me feel badly which I experience often other places. I consider myself a consensus person and any time I had to cancel or schedule I already feel badly about it so to be met with understanding very much appreciated.

I highly recommend this office and will continue to come here regularly. The ladies in the office most definitely make everything run smoothly.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this dental office and the entire staff!

I recently saw Dr. Katherine to have the gap in my teeth closed, and I was VERY nervous about making the change. Even after I first saw my new smile, I wasn’t sure because I was so used to seeing myself with my gap. But Dr. Katherine did such an amazing job that the result looks incredibly natural. My son told me, “You already had a beautiful smile, so it really isn’t that noticeable.” My family didn’t even notice the change—and my husband STILL hasn’t noticed that my gap is closed! ? That tells me just how natural and beautiful her work is.

What I appreciate most is the care I receive every time I come here. Even when a procedure requires a little pressure or extra work, Dr. Katherine is incredibly gentle. I didn’t feel pain during my procedure, and she was patient with me knowing how uneasy I was. I may hate being numb, but I absolutely appreciate the care they take to keep me comfortable.

The entire office goes above and beyond. During one visit, they gave me a blanket and I was sitting in a massage chair while being treated. Those little things make such a difference when you’re already nervous about being at the dentist.

Even the following day, I came back to pick up a toothbrush I had ordered. They had it beautifully packaged in a nice bag along with floss and mouthwash. Before I left, they even asked if I wanted a bottle of water for my walk back home. That may seem like a small thing, but those thoughtful touches are exactly what make this office special.

I absolutely love Wendy, the reception staff, Dr. Uplegger, Dr. Katherine, and the entire team. Everyone is pleasant, patient, welcoming, and genuinely seems to care about their patients.

I never thought I would say this about a dentist’s office, but they actually make me look forward to coming back! ?❤️
