I have been to many salons in Grand Rapids from downtown to East Town to Cascade and Ada. High price salons, I have always had a LOT of hair. I always ask for the stylist with them most experience, which in turn normally means you pay significantly more. I have watched girls struggle merely blow drying my hair. I only request one thing when getting my hair colored I DO NOT WANT TO SEE A LINE.This was my first time at Doll House and no high expectations I have never been satisfied with any stylist because I always leave with a line. Had a not so great day so I booked myself to get a last minute haircut online for some self care. Didn't end up getting my hair cut because their system didn't register that someone moved their appointment and they were no longer available at the time I booked. The next available time open was 40 minutes later. They were nice enough about it but I'm still very very bummed. Having a bad back I did not want to wait while either standing or sitting in the hard plastic chairs in the waiting area. So, lesson learned, call to verify any appointments made online.

Fun atmosphere. My stylist was Kylie and she was sweet, didn't judge me for my gray hair and lack of style. She understood my hair needs and gave me a great haircut! One of my favorite things here is the head massage while they wash your hair.
