The atmosphere at the healing center is so relaxing, she even makes her own jewelry which was super cute and I couldn't resist buying a bracelet on my way out. Finding the location was a breeze and there is plenty of parking. Scheduling online (in my case the night before for the next morning due to my shoulder pain keeping me awake all night) was so easy and convenient and very reasonably priced for such a high quality service and experience. I had gone thru about 3 or 4 stylists in the area, since my prior long term stylist left the area, to try and find an expert stylist who finally knows how to cut long hair and do proper tapered and blended layers, and Marlene knows what she's doing. Her Salon is very stylish and clean, and she plays really good music. Her Salon atmosphere is always very welcoming and so is Marlene. She always takes her time to cut and style your hair exactly as you have requested. She has cut my very thick, waist long hair more than a few times now, and each time it is perfection and the layers are perfectly tapered and blended. She's a good conversationalist and always a good listener as well, and really fun when she styles your hair. She is personable and detail oriented and I am often known to show up and say “you are the expert, let me know how best to shake it up” and she never disappoints. The space is very clean and everyone is friendly. I also met an aesthetician there, Emma, and booked a facial. My facial experience was professional and thorough. Emma did a great job learning about my skin experience and analyzing what I needed to provide a custom treatment for my skin care. She does not push her product however, if you ask she will make expert recommendations. I like that I have a one stop shop for my hair and skincare needs! “Let me premise this review by saying that I am a massage enthusiast and have had my share of massages - good and not so good.Excellent massage and very reasonably priced at $115 for 90 minutes. Hot stones are included and therapist uses hot towels to remove oil from skin before getting dressed. I'm terrible at booking massages in advance, so I appreciate being able to book a massage on the same day the thought of getting one crosses my mind.When it comes to massage pressure, I prefer firm pressure but not deep tissue and it seems no one has been able to get it "just right", until yesterday! Thank you to my therapist (shame on me for not asking her name) for making my experience relaxing and therapeutic!I deducted one star for no music. It was awkward at first, but I settled in. I'm sure someone just forgot to turn it on.As for tipping, I always err on the side of being generous. Having the opportunity and resources to get a massage is a blessing I hope to never take for granted. These women work hard for their money, so I have no issues with tipping 20% (or more)!“
