“Ok, update, the same day I posted the previous review I got a text from Gammon's saying that the owner was going to try to come by to take a look. He arrived that evening around 7:30pm, very pleasant man, very sorry to hear about the things that had happened in the past as he was apparently unaware. I apologized that he had to come out so late and his reply was "I am a business owner that what is what I do". He discovered that there was a refrigerant leak and then said he would return the next day as he did not have the tools to fix it with him. I was not going to be there in the morning but he was okay with my 2 very large dogs, and by the time I got back from my class that morning the unit had been repaired and I had AC!!!! So, in all fairness, my review based on this last visit is a 5. I still can not ignore the prior issues but I feel as if the owner of the company does care and wants to do the right thing. There was no charge for this visit.“

“Owner Matt was compassionate enough during a recent heat wave to agree to service my heat pump (a.c), even though his company did not install the unit (I did not yet know of his company at the time of purchase).

HVAC technician Chris (with helper Nate) arrived and I am pleased to say that he patiently diagnosed the relevant problem.

This very thorough and knowledgable service call led to the proper part now on order, and the "boys" should be back next week.

They arrive in a timely manner and I always get a call from the office to let me know when they are on the way. I rely on them for furnace maintenance and all my plumbing needs.“

“Today, I was teaching my son the economics of having propane tanks filled versus doing a tank exchange. It cost $31 for two tanks and most exchanges are $27 for one tank. He didn’t really care but he will at some point in his life.
That is besides the point…do you ever go to exchange your tanks or have them filled only to feel like a major inconvenience. That wasn’t my experience at Frederick Brothers. After the gentleman filled my tanks, I thanked him and he said, no thank you for coming here to fill them. Then when paying, the woman was super pleasant and said please come visit us again. My business felt appreciated versus an inconvenience. They now have a loyal customer. I won’t go anywhere else!“

“After wasting time and money with one of the more heavily advertised local HVAC companies I asked Coastal Tech to diagnose my hydronic heating problems. They identified the root cause within 5 minutes of being on site, fixed the problem (as well as another issue that was looming) and bled the system. Now working flawlessly. They were prompt, extremely professional, and clearly very knowledgeable. I will be using Coastal Tech exclusively from now on.“
