Dan is amazing. The quality of his work and professionalism is outstanding. I had dark cherry cabinets in my kitchen which depressed the lightness of the rest of my downstairs area. I didn’t want the expense of having my cabinets replaced, but knew I needed to do something to cheer up that area. Dan came to my home and gave me a very fair estimate for the cost of painting. I was skeptical at first, but after meeting with him and seeing photos of some of his work, decided to go with his company. I am not disappointed with my decision, as the results are beyond my expectations. The kitchen area is now literally like night and day. Everyone that has come into my home cannot believe the difference and all are very impressed by his work.

I’m honestly blown away. I don’t normally give reviews, actually my 1st ever…here goes! Sheryl took great care and time as she cut and blowed out smooth- I loved it- so healthy and a bit sassy too! I was a little nervous about 1st wash and styling it on my own, how it would turn out.
But wow… it looks amazing. The curls are soft, full, and beautifully shaped—definitely not “poodle-like,” which I’ve struggled with before when cutting length. It’s actually fun and incredibly easy to style, with so much natural movement and volume.
This is one of the best cuts I’ve ever had. It looks great with almost no effort, which is exactly what I was wishing for- yet never thought it’d be true for me! Thank you, thank you! I’m beyond happy—and secretly hoping it never grows out;)

My seven year old son and I both got a haircut at a price that usually my haircut alone would be. The stylist was so good with him and we both looked amazing.

The Hamilton’s driving instructor I was provided (Josiah) was great and SO supportive in teaching me how to operate a vehicle! He was incredibly calm, respectful, encouraging, and carefully challenged me to make decisions on the road while providing assistance and guidance. I felt safe driving for the first time with my instructor, and felt confident when I took the test at the end of the course and earned my permit.
A lot of required learning was online in the AAA program. It would take me around 1-2 hours to complete one of the 19 chapters. The chapter near the end regarding Driving in Maine was objectively the longest chapter though — almost 1 full hour of what felt like straight video and reading 127 pages from the Maine Drivers Manual. The test at the end of the course is focused primarily on driving in Maine, so I advise to pay attention to that. I also recommend planning out the days where you can expect to get work on the AAA course done, because it’s a lot to complete and it NEEDS to be done before the test date (or you’ll pay 40 dollars to reschedule). Also, make sure you log into the course on your phone so you can do it when you have free time.
I’m 17, and was apart of the newly established York, ME program. I shared a class with 2 other students, but I heard that the class after me will have 8. Overall, I think my Drivers Ed class went the best it possibly could’ve thanks to Hamilton’s Driving School.

Jamie Day did an amazing job perming my hair. It looks natural and she was amazingly fast. The best part is, she saved me from another business right down the road that had no idea what they were doing and tried to charge me 4 times the amount Jamie charged me. She is kind, great to talk to and amazing at her job. She now has a customer for life and I've already referred her to all my friends and family. I have received SO many compliments! Bonus: if you are into beautiful old building and architecture, you will love the exposed brick and beams and the view of Mousam River Falls while you're getting your hair done. Thank you Jamie!!! 😊
I worked with Stefanie to solve an ongoing design issue on the exterior of our 1897 home. She not only was able to see a solution no one else had come up with she also recommended a builder for us that exceeded our expectations.Stefanie's design was outstanding! We had to revise her original design due to our budget restraints and she was able to alter it for our builder while keeping a similar look and we are thrilled with the result. I can’t speak highly enough of my experience working with Vida at VidaMade. From responsiveness and craftsmanship to turnaround time, the entire process was outstanding.
About three years ago, my husband and I purchased a Chatham sofa from Serena & Lily, and unfortunately the fabric turned out to be a disaster. After only two years, there was a large hole in the seat cushion. We decided to reupholster rather than replace it, but having just moved to Portsmouth from Manhattan, we didn’t know any local upholsterers. After a lot of online research, I reached out to several businesses—and Vida immediately stood out.
She was incredibly responsive, provided a clear estimate and timeline, and patiently answered all of my questions. She also worked closely with us to coordinate pickup and delivery. In fact, when we dropped the sofa off, Vida even helped my husband and me unload it into her studio—in the pouring rain! (I would not recommend moving a heavy sofa yourself; we wisely corrected that mistake for delivery.)
Her studio was lovely, and the turnaround time was impressive—less than two weeks from drop-off to delivery, even with Thanksgiving in the middle. Most importantly, the craftsmanship was exceptional. Chatham sofas have a lot of buttons and Vida’s attention to detail was flawless. The sofa came back looking better than new and completely transformed our living room.
We purchased the fabric through a friend, but it was a brand Vida carries, and had I met her earlier in the process, I would have had complete confidence working with her to select fabric as well.
It feels increasingly rare to find such a talented upholsterer, and VidaMade is truly something special. I wouldn’t hesitate to work with Vida again and recommend her wholeheartedly.
I was in a pinch and needed someone who was certified to work with my Brivo facility access system, not only did they send me a technician for the following day but they were prompt, knowledgeable and patient. They even followed up the next day to make sure everything went well.

In an emergency situation, with a broken pipe in my house and no water following a couple of the coldest days in state history, I was in desperate need of a plumber. I found out that the one we had previously used had retired, leaving me to call a number of local plumbers who I had no experience with. None of them answered the phone or returned messages, except one company who told me that since I wasn't an existing customer it would be at least a week to come out. To a house without water. Luckily, my wife received a recommendation to call Johnson Plumbing, and not only did they actually answer the phone, they told me they'd be out as soon as possible. I received a text message less than two hours later telling me they were on their way. They were then able to find the broken pipe and also repair it that same day. Amazing customer service. Kept us appraised of every step, were extremely personable and even cleaned up after themselves. I literally cannot recommend this company highly enough. Thanks again for everything! -Mark
I’m on vacation and desperately needed a massage. I didn’t want to go to an overpriced tourist spa so I looked for local massage places. So glad I did. This was exactly what I wanted and possibly the best massage I’ve ever had. If you don’t have experience with Chinese or other East Asian types of massages do some research first, as I’m pretty sure this tiny strong woman massaged out aches and pains my ancestors felt. Was it painful at times? Yes. But I feel amazing now, and you really can’t beat the price. If I were local I’d definitely be a regular customer. 10/10.
