The Right Place For Finding The Right Pros Near You!
We had Don Bryant (and family) do a water line replacement in Wells last fall. Great job, very professional, quick, thorough, exceeded all of our expectations. Would highly recommend, and would be our first choice for any other project that we may have in the future.
My grandaughters birthday was made a dream come true ! Wonderful customer service & family focused ??
The shop was unfortunately closed but we also were lucky enough to purchase one of her kaleidoscopes from a shop in town. The Handcraftsmenship is amazing and looking inside the scope takes you to magical place. It will be a conversation piece in my house. ?
Spang Builders have been great to work with on multiple clients’ homes and we couldn’t be happier with their results. We appreciate their professionalism, communication, and expertise. Working with Spang as a custom kitchen company has been nothing short of our pleasure.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Kennebunkport Captain's Collection. The property is beautiful, full of historic charm, and the rooms have a rustic-meets-Restoration-Hardware feel that fits the character of the home. The grounds are lovely and well maintained, creating a peaceful atmosphere. We also appreciated the complimentary bicycles available for guests, the dedicated yoga space inside the restored barn, and the free on-site parking, which was a great convenience in Kennebunkport. Housekeeping did an excellent job keeping our room clean and tidy throughout our stay.
There were, however, a few things that kept this from being a five-star experience.
First, be aware that there is no elevator. We were assigned a room on the third floor, and the property is not handicap-friendly. While the staff kindly offered to help with our luggage, all of the staff members on duty were women, and my husband ultimately carried all of our heavy luggage himself. At this price point, we believe luggage assistance should be be included and guaranteed rather than simply offered if someone happens to be available.
The complimentary fruit bowl was also disappointing. When we arrived, much of the fruit was already overripe, and it was never replenished during our stay. Likewise, there were several mornings when the coffee station was running low or was missing milk and half-and-half. These are small details, but they're the kinds of touches guests notice, especially at a luxury bed and breakfast.
Despite those issues, the property itself is charming, well maintained, and conveniently located within walking distance of downtown Kennebunkport. With a little more attention to the guest amenities and service details, this could easily be a five-star experience.
If you want the best builder and 100% attention to detail, this is the company for you. Jon Trudeau and Team do it right every time!
Stayed at Hidden Pond the week following Columbus Day this past fall. I had reached out to staff after booking in early September that I was planning to propose to my girlfriend while at the resort. Staff was helpful in planning - and when things went awry with my initial plan guest services were quick to help (shout out Maddy).
The room we initially booked was a Treetop Suite - didn't know at the time but half the resort is kid-friendly, the other half adult only. The Treetop Suite is half of a Treetop Lodge meaning that another guest is staying in the other half of the cabin sharing a mudroom between them.
I was planning to propose when we walked into the room - had gotten the add on floral arrangement, some sweets. When my girlfriend and I walked into the room though, we could hear our Treetop Studio neighbor (clearly a young child) crying loudly throughout the suite.
Outreached guest services who initially offered me a downgrade - but an opportunity to move rooms - to another Treetop Studio. I independently went on Hidden Pond's website and found out they had Bungalows.
The Bungalow was actually exactly what I was looking for in a vacation spot- private, relaxing and so beautifully decorated. Having now experienced the Bungalow - would not consider doing a Treetop Lodge unless I was going with family who I wanted to be close with, but not altogether with.
My girlfriend and I settled into Bungalow Twilight (whose name held great significance for us as 2 girls in our twenties lol). After all that happened with jumping around rooms, delaying the proposal guest services were kind enough to give us the Bungalow for our 3 night stay for the price of the Treetop Suite.
The stay was wonderful and serene. My fiance and I are excited to come back maybe in the summer to enjoy mote of the resort's amenities. In the fall it served as a retreat more than a activity filled vacation.
My only additional thought is that food options are a bit limited - again could be based on the time we went, but we were limited to the food truck during the day and Earth at night. We felt like we got enough out of Earth the one time we went (which was amazing- don't sleep on the donuts for dessert).
Most importantly, I went to Hidden Pond a girlfriend and left a fiance. Whole experience truly felt like money well spent and looking back very glad to have had the experience.
Let me start by saying I cannot compliment them enough. We came to this spa once before for a couples massage and 3 years later their quality still holds up. Kind, accommodating, great service. Never once felt uncomfortable and the staff are great at asking what you would like addressed and actually does a phenomenal job. 10 stars. Definitely would go out of my way to come back.
