Dog Crazy Lady Pet Boarding Training

“Tanzi tremendously helped my reactive rescue dog shortly after we got him. Before rescuing him, he never had a stable home and was in and out of shelters for his first 2 years of life. After my husband and I adopted him, he was extremely reactive to trucks, other dogs, wildlife, and overall is an anxious dog. He also would become very worked up when meeting new people and would jump on them. Tanzi not only helped us read his body language and understand his needs, but she also taught us amazing techniques for what to do when he encounters a trigger. She came to our home for each lesson and even met us at a local park to help with his reactivity. He is a bigger dog and I was worried he would be too reactive for training, but Tanzi handled him with ease, kindness, and confidence. I have nothing but amazing things to say about her services and I highly respect her and her advice. Her dedication and love for dogs shines brightly and I will always recommend her to anyone looking for a dog trainer!!!!“

Sit Means Sit Dog Training Towson Pet Boarding Training

“There is so much I could say here, but what it really comes down to is the fact that Sit Means Sit saved our puppy from being rehomed or worse. We rescued a pit bull puppy, a black one at that, who showcases some fairly severe issues such as extreme biting behavior (in short... aggressiveness). We are very experienced dog owners and had both a rescued pit bull and a rescued chihuahua until they passed of old age, and we've also fostered a variety of different breeds with a variety of different behavioral issues. However, after trying every technique we've ever known, we realized that it just wasn't enough to help this pup. We met with SMS and I have to admit that we were a little iffy on the collar. I had never used or needed one before, but they were literally our last hope before we had to remove or make a serious decision about this pup. It's an investment but they were literally our last hope. That last hope turned in to our saving grace. Kooper responds very well to the collar and its helped him to understand what is expected of him when we give commands. It helps give him focus, and after the first day we really did notice some immediate improvement, which was not at all expected. Their training... this isnt a place they just keep your pup in a kennel all day. They work with them throughout the day, and then they work with you. Yes, you read that right. Their training isnt just about getting a dog to listen, its a also about learning how to communicate effectively with your dog and understand them just as you want them to understand you. I could really write a novel here on all of the ways, big and small, that SMS has helped our pup and us but Im sure Google would think it was written by a novelist. Listen, if you love your dog and you are serious about their training, go see them at SMS. It's an investment, but it works. It saves lives (human and doggo!!). I could show you the bite mark photos as proof. They helped with that, and now we can enjoy our pup and he can enjoy us. Kooper now goes here for daycare and it takes everything in him to follow his manners walking up to the door. He loves it there. To all of the SMS staff, Carmen, Nathan, Abby, and especially to his first love (trainer), Liz B (we are so in debt to you), Beth and Tamar... I will never forget how you've helped us.“

“I discovered Pet-U-Cation through the rescue I adopted my dog from - she came to me unsocialized with big feelings and a need to express them. With the guidance and support of Savannah and Pet-U-Cation, my dog has made great progress and I have gained confidence in handling her. We have both learned somuch! I’ve utilized many of their offerings, including the Canine Good Citizen course, Sunday Wellness drop-in classes, daycare, and boarding. I know that the Pet-U-Cation team will provide my dog with thoughtful training and care that is tailored to her needs.“

Wilde Acres Pet Boarding Training

“When I first adopted my mastiff mix (Cane Corso, Presa Canario, Bullmastiff, etc.) in late 2023, I struggled to maintain consistency with obedience training and also reactivity issues. I found Wilde Acres in my search for dog trainers, and I decided to go with them because: Carter and his team have extensive and evidenced knowledge in canine behavior and training methods, the numerous training classes and programs offered, and the land they have for training (~7 acres). Since working with them, I have seen them retain many of the same trainers, which speaks to a positive working environment, and also grow their program to training specialties, such as scent. Below is my personal training journey with Wilde Acres, as well: I first started my training at Wilde Acres through individual lessons with Carter. Carter took the time to watch my dog's behavior and also get to know me as her handler, in order to give me the best advice for training her. He was realistic and honest with his advice, and he provided helpful and valuable ways to motivate my dog and maintain consistency. After a few lessons, I felt the board & train package would be good for her in order to instill training through the repetition that's provided with board & train programs. I was moving at the time of her training, so she went for five weeks (usually four). After her training, I noticed a massive and positive shift in her behavior. I tell people it's like she was permanently put on Xanax. She was so much calmer! She seemed much more comfortable on our walks, she no longer pulled me on the leash, she followed the leash and my commands, and her reactivity diminished significantly. She does still have reactivity every now and then, but it's much less, and it's easy to anticipate as her handler. Please note I did change some aspects of my lifestyle, such as moving to a bigger place that was less crowded, and she had less exposure to busy areas. But her training would have still been required to have her more under control. After her training, I still called Wilde Acres every now and then to discuss any behavioral issues or if I had any questions. I just sent her for a second board & train, not because she needed it, but due to a busy schedule I had on a large project at work, and I needed a safe place for her with experienced handlers. The team at Wilde Acres welcomed her back so warmly. She had such a great time at her second retreat. All of the trainers had so much fun with her at Wilde Acres, and she responded greatly to their training methods and handling. We're going back today for a follow-up lesson, as well, and we look forward to coming back in the future!“

TLC For Pets Pet Boarding Training

“I just lost my precious dachshund, Rusty. I have to talk of my experience at TLC. Dr. Lucas and I worked together when Rusty was diagnosed with congestive heart failure and later, kidney disease. We walked a tightrope, as Dr. Lucas described it, making medical decisions for both conditions. The heart condition alone usually has a year or less life expectancy. Rusty went on to 1 year and 8 months for me and my baby. In addition, the ladies loved on him sometimes calling him the Rust Man :) I even ended up going to a Vet ER before TLC opened, due to a breathing issue which can occur with the heart condition, and one of these wonderful ladies came and sat with me for several hours when she found out and got off work. I can't begin to describe the wonderful love shown to my boy at TLC. When he passed, there were tears from all, and Dr. Lucas called from his vacation to express his condolences. You will never go wrong bringing your sweet baby to TLC for Pets.“

Reisterstown Pet Resort & Spa Pet Boarding Training

“Boarded my dogs here recently. I love the process of them coming to you while you sit in your car. You just call the # and they come pick up or drop off your pet. Our drop off was a little chaotic because there was a torrential downpour. The young lady had to run back and forth with forms for us to fill out ( although we had previously filled them online). Then to grab our food ( or they feed your dogs their selection at no additional cost). Then to grab our pets ( husky and a German Shepherd). She handled both dogs well. We'd ask for grooming but that got didn't get put on the file in all the chaos (a little disappointed). Everyone was kind, professional. Other than that, the whole process was smooth. I do love the dogs obstacle courses and pool. I do appreciate that dogs are not kept in cages all day but actually go out and run and swim. My dogs looked happy And taken care of. I would definitely use them again. I believe they give a discount for first time boarders.“
