“Trevor has cut my hair since he started, so naturally when he opened his own shop I had to follow. He has really grown his shop to match his vision and I will always support someone who I've got to know thru the years.“

“Booking online was a breeze. The location is easy to get to, parking is ample and a dog to welcome you there is cool too! Lisa is fantastic, only one chair and she is the woman who does the magic to your hair. I have been to multiple barbershops in Frederick and do not need to keep searching any longer. My bar is high as I have had a barber in MOCO for 15+ years. Lisa did everything I have come to expect and more when getting my haircut. This was my first time going to The Barber Shack and will definitively not be the last. Expect me and my sons there for years to come. I hope to test your tough skin theory. Until the next haircut...

“After trying many other salons and barbershops, this is the place where my teenage son finally found the haircut and fade of his dreams. Their prices are reasonable, the shop is pretty trendy, sort of industrial. And we always laugh because they don't waste time with a lot of chitchat and small talk. In the case of my son and husband, they absolutely love that they are not pulled into awkward small talk. Don't get me wrong, they are perfectly professional and polite, but it is all business. Great shop, talented barbers, definitely recommend.“

Jim could not be more friendly, the conversation is always pleasant, and I'm always satisfied with the haircut. It's a charming little one-chair shop like the ones my dad used to take me to when I was little. Plenty of off-road parking for the size of the shop.“

“I live right down the street. I typically walk in all of the barbers there always give me a good fade and touch up my beard. They normally have the news or a sports game on. The place is clean and reasonably priced and the barbers are friendly.“

I loved the conversations, and they were very polite and graciously professional. “For the past year I have been going from barbershop to barbershop in Frederick, trying to get a decent haircut. Some places were ok but not great, others I walked out looking like I had been attacked with a weed whacker. So it was with some trepidation that I stumbled into The Affiliated this afternoon. “Took my son there in 2021 for his very first hair cut. The guys were great. Even changed the music to a child friendly movie.
Today I brought my son back. We had John. John was so sweet and patient with him. Took his time to explain each step to my 6 year old. Had conversations with him like he would with any other client. He made my son feel comfortable. And his hair turned out fantastic. Everybody looked like they were having a good time. Definitely a place to go to get your hair cut.“

“Someone give Sarah a raise… she cut our babies hair the other day, and it was only his 3rd haircut, but the first time it wasn’t a family barber(his uncle in Florida) the first time with an electric razor, and let’s just say… he absolutely lost it! He was screaming and crying, I felt horrible for him and everyone in the room. Sarah’s hands were shaking, but she communicated well what she needed from me, and what she needed from my husband and it didn’t take long and he calmed right down. She did a wonderful job, and we are so grateful for her patience.
