We wanted to merge two rooms into one and expand it by using some space from the hallway. When I first met with Gary from American Bath, I described our idea very broadly. “I brought 2 items to Preservation and Framing Services; one was a large print that needed a new frame and the other was a de.i ate silk scarf with a floral print that I wanted framed. The frame for the print that Matin suggested was perfect- the shadings in the frame brought out some colors in the print. The scarf was framed perfectly in a gold frame. Again, the frame was Matin’s suggestions and it was the exactly right frame. I would not have chosen it on my own. The delicate silk of the scarf require at skill in making sure there were no wrinkles in the scarf and it was perfectly aligned within the frame. Both pieces look beautiful, the work was completed within the 2 week time frame, and I cannot recommend
Matin and Preservation and Framing Services highly enough.“

“We engaged WINN for a significant renovation including a kitchen overhaul, carpentry, floors, electrical, venting, painting and built-ins throughout our house. We had a vision of what we wanted but worked well with their design team to get ideas and feedback. The project was challenged when our design coordinator left the firm late in the design phase, but they made sure the timeline was not impacted. The architectural team brought practical solutions to the plans considering how the house is structured and used. Our project manager, Conrad, was wonderful, being detail-oriented, flexible with details and ensuring subcontractors completed their work timely and accurately. When our hardwood floors were sanded and stained with the wrong color, they made sure the work was redone at the subcontractor's expense. Due to family issues, we needed to stay in the house throughout the renovation and Conrad made sure we only had to leave the house during the flooring work.“

“Working with YL Designz from start to finish was a pleasure. I was able to get out of my comfort zone and think outside the box to create a peaceful yet fun environment in my owners suite, family room and eat in kitchen areas. Many of the furnishings came from the stores I would shop, but the focal pieces were from trade vendors to create a unique look. Ordering the pieces was made easy as all the links were provided including how many needed and sizes based upon the floor plans and measurements taken. I never once felt pressured to buy anything outside of what I was looking for. The e-design experience has been great thus far. When his first books The New Traditional was published the US was drowning in beige living rooms and red dining rooms. Mr. Carter liberated our senses and showed us how to keep our antique collections and make them new again through curating. It is impossible to talk about design and the last 15 years of style evolution with out discussing his body of work. Mr. Cater is a national treasure and DC is very-very lucky to have him. Why has he not been apart of the White House redesign yet? Big mystery to me.“
