“I made a mistake and learned that the $15 administrative fee is for when the office has to call the pharmacy to coordinate the RX, etc. I thought I was going to be charged $15 for obtaining a written RX when coming into the Animal Care Clinic. I have since talked to them and found out that I would not be charged for picking up a written RX. I would like to change and withdrawal my previous comment of them being "Extortionists". When you make mistake, it is important to correct the comments and the review. I read the email and it wasn't clear enough for me and I placed the review negatively affecting the business. I apologize for the misunderstanding and appreciate the business for reaching out to explain it to me directly.“
“Our puppy was traumatized at a young age and since then has very extreme fear responses. The people at Skylos, have a very well oiled process. But they were great with us when we needed to adjust their process to make our puppy more comfortable. We had a great experience with our knee surgery and are on the mend. “Glade Valley Animal Hospital in Walkersville, MD is an amazing facility with fantastic people. I have been coming here since before it existed, in the ‘70s when it was attached to a farmhouse and run by Dr Lynch. I have childhood memories bringing my first puppy here, and my family and I have brought all our cats and dogs to this establishment. All the people here are amazing. We recently lost our beloved family dog, Toby, to an incurable illness. The veterinarian and staff were so understanding and sympathetic; I cannot express my gratitude for their patience and care during an extremely difficult time. I would never think of taking a pet anywhere else. In my family, Glade Valley is synonymous to love and compassionate veterinary care.Thank you, to all the vets and staff; it will be a long time before we bring another dog into our life, but if it happens, Glade Valley will be the first stop. We still remember the first time when we took our dog for an overall check up, which was the 2nd day after we adopted her from an animal shelter. She was about 6-weeks old, and Dr. Greta nicknamed her the little wriggling worm as she was all excited and wouldn't stay still! Ever since then, Dr. Greta has been taking good care of her! The staff are all very friendly and extremely helpful, too! I strongly recommend this hospital !“
“We brought our yorkie Reed in last week having just switched vets to see them for the first time. Our dog had been sick and we hadn’t had good experiences at our prior vet and we’re nervous taking him in. Although we didn’t get the news we wanted, they worked with us, made him and us feel comfortable, we’re honest and up front/helped figure out how to make choices moving forward financially and for Reed’s care. We had to sadly put him down today, but the staff are wonderful and made us comfortable during the process. I highly recommend their office for your pet’s needs?“
“I have used Monocacy Equine for over 20 years. They have always been professional and very responsive to emergencies as well as making sure to get back to a client in a timely manner if the client cannot be in attendance during a vet exam. I had a horse with canker which is a horrible thing to have to go through. Monocacy sought advice from other nationally renowned vets/experts for more up to date treatment protocols. When other vets may have misdiagnosed the condition or thrown in the towel, they pursued treatment options one of which finally cured the canker.“

Dr. Miller herself is amazing. She's compassionate, knowledgeable and confident. When my dogs need a more in depth exam, or I need a trusted opinion about care decisions, I don't trust anyone more than Dr. Miller.“

“I had to put my first cat down due to his health complications. It was very difficult, but they were very helpful especially the receptionist. They worked with another company to perform private cremations and keep sakes. I received a card that was hand written from the whole staff later sorry for my loss. Definitely recommend for normal vet treatment and helping put to rest your late pets“
“This vet clinic has been great and we have been going here since 2015. We have had three dogs that have been treated here for yearly checkups, shots and other issues. The Drs and staff have been very friendly and accommodating for every situation that has come up. I even saw the staff care for a squirrel that a customer brought in that was injured in his yard. They are very caring and love all the animals. It is so refreshing to know that they want your loved ones to be healthily and safe as much as you do.“
