I found Village Vet of Urbana, got an appointment for the next day (on a Saturday woo) and everyone there was amazing!! The whole visit took just over 15 minutes, they were kind, gentle and thorough. Very reasonably priced!! My cat loved them, which is honestly a blessing. I will be coming back!!“

22416 Frederick Rd, Clarksburg“If I could 100 stars, I would. My poor pup was bitten by a copperhead, and Dr. Felrice was a lifesaver, literally. Despite having a very full hospital, they fit him in and worked tirelessly for 24 hours on him, working with other vets for the antivenin and to ensure the best treatment. The entire clinic was just amazing, for both our pup and with us, making sure we understood treatment and his condition. Love these guys, switching my care to them.“

3540 Worthington Blvd, Frederick“I have been with Compassion since we adopted our first dog , Ginger, 10 years ago. Since then, we adopted a 2nd, Millie, who vibed like a chill old drunken sailor. There have been many calls/texts, sick visits, medications, and consultations within that time and I can honestly say every single contact has been nothing but top notch expertise and family friendly service from everyone there.
We had to put Millie down this past November, and as expected the staff were so kind, gentle and accommodating.
Keep up the great work.
Ginger says namaste (she’s all yoga vibe ?)“

434 Prospect Blvd, Frederick“Our puppy at 5 months old fractured her tibial turberosity and Skylos was the first recommended surgery clinic on the list from our vet. I am so happy we put our faith into Dr. Kennedy and the staff at Skylos, they have been nothing but wonderful and knowledgable. They always remember our pup when we’ve brought her in for rechecks since. We are 6-weeks post-op and couldn’t be happier with the results of our Regi girl’s surgery and care. They made a very stressful situation so much easier for us to manage with their guidance. Surgery isn’t something everyone can afford, so I totally recommend pet insurance! Our surgery was 5k total (including medications, follow up appts) and insurance covered 4k.
I would recommend the staff and care at Skylos to anyone and their pups!“

22750 Newcut Rd Suite D-2, Clarksburg“Neighborhood Veterinary Associates (NVA) has cared for my 6-year-old Boston Terrier since he was a puppy, and I can’t say enough good things about them. When he showed signs of an ear infection, I booked a next-day sick visit online with no hassle. They diagnosed it quickly and got him treated right away—he felt better fast. The team is kind, thorough, and never pushy. It’s obvious they genuinely know and care about their patients.“

148 Walkers Village Way, Walkersville“My kitten had a complication from her spay that was done at a different clinic, and this office squeezed us in on a Saturday to help her. Dr. Mecenas was incredibly kind and caring toward both my kitten and me, which meant so much during a stressful situation.
I was nervous about checking out and seeing the bill, but he was very respectful about cost and didn’t charge for anything unnecessary. I truly appreciated the compassion, transparency, and care. I’m so grateful we found this practice.“

23321 Frederick Rd, Clarksburg“They may not be the cheapest place around, but the limited staff is the same staff that always sees your pup. So for someone like me that is at the vet at least 10 times a year they are great with her. They know her name, personality and now that they are letting owners back into the office with the pets I can truly see how much she loves them when she arrives.“

24939 Ridge Rd, Damascus“I wanted to share this.
We recently had to put our dog Waffles to sleep, he was 16 years old and incurring heart failure.
Not that there’s ever “better timing” to lose your pet, but we had family vacation planned since six months prior and we were to leave the following day. While on vacation, I read on a grief forum about a man whom had to also put his fur baby to sleep due to heart failure as well, and that he got an ink blot of the paw print the day they said goodbye. I had never heard of this, and it made me more upset as I shared this with my husband that I really wish I had known this was something people do so we could have done the same. Well, upon arrival back home from vacation there was a letter that came in the mail from Damascus Vet Hospital. My husband took it inside to read, and as I was still unloading bags, he abruptly came and handed it to me to read. He didn’t want me to wait- I opened the letter, and a beautiful card.. on the front “with sympathy for your loss” with a photo of a heart and silhouette of a dog and cat… on the inside- I dropped my bags and immediately broke into tears. Feeling emotions of solemness, but utmost gratitude and happiness because, above a cursive writing of our fur baby’s name, “Waffles” was his ink blot paw print. I am forever grateful to have this, as it wasn’t something we could have thought of in the time of chaos and confusion of decision making to put our pet out of his suffering… Waffles paw print is kept in a special place. A gesture so small and perhaps insignificant to many, moved me so deeply and I couldn’t be more thankful.

20701 Mouth of Monocacy Rd, Dickerson“I recently had the pleasure of working with Dr. Bretz, an outstanding equine veterinarian, during the pre-purchase examination (PPE) of a horse we were considering buying. Dr. Bretz went far above and beyond in her thoroughness, attention to detail, and dedication to ensuring we made a well-informed decision. Her expertise and commitment were evident in every step of the process. From the very beginning she impressed us with her extensive knowledge and genuine care for the horse's well-being. She meticulously examined every aspect of the horse's health, leaving no stone unturned. Dr. Bretz's communication was impeccable; she explained every finding in a clear and understandable manner, ensuring we fully grasped the implications of each result. Her patience and willingness to answer all our questions made us feel confident and supported throughout the entire process. What truly sets Dr. Bretz apart is her unwavering dedication to her clients. She went the extra mile to provide us with all the information we needed to make an educated decision, and her passion for her work shone through in everything she did. Thanks to her thoroughness and expertise, we felt empowered and reassured in our decision-making. We couldn't be happier with the service Dr. Bretz provided. I highly recommend her to any horse owner or prospective buyer. You can trust Dr. Bretz to prioritize the well-being of your horse and to provide you with the highest level of care and expertise. She is simply amazing!“
“We brought our yorkie Reed in last week having just switched vets to see them for the first time. Our dog had been sick and we hadn’t had good experiences at our prior vet and we’re nervous taking him in. Although we didn’t get the news we wanted, they worked with us, made him and us feel comfortable, we’re honest and up front/helped figure out how to make choices moving forward financially and for Reed’s care. We had to sadly put him down today, but the staff are wonderful and made us comfortable during the process. I highly recommend their office for your pet’s needs?“
