With my mother coming from a nursing home setting, they processed her paperwork in a timely manner, scheduled her appointment quick and accommodated her (she was coming by stretcher). The staff got her in quick and Dr. Franklin didn't waste no time coming to see her and examining her. He was thorough but move fast because he was concerned because my mother is a vent patient so he didn't want her waiting. He discussed her wound and the treatment plan.“

They’ve become classrooms, confessional booths, stages, and sanctuaries. I’ve re-learned how to walk after flares that left me paralyzed, crafted executive presentations mid-infusion, and even run parts of my professional life from medical supply closets.

What makes Annapolis Rheumatology stand out is that they understand all of this — that life doesn’t stop for treatment, and that the little moments matter just as much as the big ones. Their nurses and staff celebrate victories, support you through setbacks, and somehow make even the absurd parts of chronic illness feel manageable, sometimes even joyful. They’ve cheered me on, taught me, rescued me, and shown me that humor, resilience, and human connection can transform even the hardest days. Every milestone — birthdays, flares, professional wins, financial challenges, mobility struggles, absurd triumphs — has been witnessed and supported here. “Today I got the dreaded call from the school nurse and thus began our family’s first experience with lice. After doing home treatment and still finding live lice on my son’s hair, I realized I was in over my head. Beth was recommended by other families at our school. She was at our house within about 2 hours of our first call. She was so thorough! Beth is so honest and never tried to upsell or sell unnecessary treatments. Out of the 4 she checked, she treated 2. She helped keep my panic factor down. Beth knows her stuff and is so informative and great with kids. Absolutely worth the money.“

“I wanted to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude for the outstanding care I received during my recent visit to GBMC. I arrived at the Emergency Room on the morning of Monday, July 14, 2025, after experiencing severe, nausea, and difficulty walking without nearly falling. From the very first GBMC staff member I encountered through to my discharge on July 16, 2025, every person I interacted with was professional, compassionate, and attentive. The team on Unit 45 was exceptional. Their care and kindness helped make a difficult time much easier, and I want to extend a special thank you to the physical therapist, who played a crucial role in helping me begin to recover from the effects of vertigo. I was especially impressed by the new discharge room, which made the transition home much more comfortable. The heated and massage chairs were a wonderful touch, and being able to have something to eat while waiting for my ride was greatly appreciated. This experience only reinforced what I already knew—GBMC is an excellent hospital. All three of my children were born at GBMC, so this place already holds a special meaning to me. I also want to compliment the food, which was truly above average—especially compared to what I’ve experienced at other hospitals and medical facilities.
