I have been going to this practice at 56 TJ Drive for over 20 years. When Dr Jones left and Dr Idrees came on, I was hesitant but I have found her to be very helpful. She spends time on the issues I’m dealing with (I have some chronic concerns that are being investigated) and has been very helpful. Her PA, Deborah, has always been good to work with and she also gives good time and energy in visits.It does take a bit to get results back at times- yes at times I encounter someone who is brisk on the phone. I have been going to Dr Fisher for about 5 years and have been extremely happy. He actually looks at me when I'm talking instead of writing notes in a computer and is very thorough. He spends quality time with you. He is not easy to get in with so I make sure I plan in advance and if I am sick I'm happy to see one of the PAs or other docs. I can tell he thoroughly enjoys his job and is good at it. After reading a lot of the reviews on here I understand people are frustrated. The problem in my opinion, there is a shortage of doctors and the ones we do have are completely overwhelmed and are dictated GREATLY by the insurance companies. I had left a medication at a hotel , when traveling. I called the office with a refill request, explaining my predicament. The recorded refill line stated it could take 3 days for the refill to go through. I placed a call to the office, spoke to a receptionist, who sent a message to refill detailing my need. The pharmacy called, less than 1 hour later, saying the meds were ready for pick up. I am an RN. In these days of “corporate medicine”, where we see so many examples of the bottom line meaning more than personal care, this is why Frederick Primary Care stands tall. A great PCP team!
