“I have been taking my pets here on and off for some years now. With my current cat, the service here has been exceptional. The staff at the front desk is polite, and accomodating. You can feel that they care about the animals that come in. The doctor is amazing as well, bringing up points and concerns that I may not be aware of. They always give me options and never force me to purchase a service, as well as explaining all charges that will be due for each visit (no surprises). With my cat's most recent accident, they have been very attentive to his changes and needs, and they address all concerns during each visit. I also receive a follow up call, which means a lot.“

? Small local vet I can get to within 5 minutes! I believe they unfortunately only have 2 (?) rooms per patient. So this means wait time here might be a bit longer than normal if not busy. Yet, it’s pretty cozy and homey.
? Everyone seems pretty friendly and they are very patient with my cats skittish nature.

After much searching, we were fortunate to find Maryland Veterinary Surgical Services. Our experience with Dr. Walesby was excellent. She is highly skilled and talented, she genuinely cares about outcomes & personally responded to our questions and concerns!
The clinic itself is open and welcoming, and the staff were consistently kind, professional, and reassuring. The surgery went perfectly, and the results have been truly amazing. Our pup is back up and running as if nothing ever happened!
We also greatly appreciated the 'all-inclusive' pricing, which covered the surgery, all medications, the collar, and multiple follow-up appointments. We are extremely grateful for the care our dog received and would highly recommend this clinic to anyone in need of surgical care for their pet.“

“The best vet yet. If you’re looking for a facility that cares about your pet this is the best. We called last minute for an emergency and were told to come in to see the doctor. Doctor Parker was transparent with the pros and cons of the surgery. Needless to say he performed emergency surgery on my dog for intestinal mass removal. The surgery was a success and we are grateful to have come across this facility. Everyone is so sweet and welcoming and they are affordable versus other vets who can barely explain what is going on with your pet.“

My pups are usually very scared of the vet, but Dr. Cujdik, Joey, and Sara were so gentle, patient, and loving with them. They took their time to make my dogs feel safe and comfortable, and by the end of the visit, my babies were completely relaxed. That alone meant everything to me. Dr. Cujdik was thorough, kind, and incredibly compassionate. He praised the care I’ve given my dogs and shared difficult news in such a gentle and thoughtful way. “We took two year old Great Pyrenees mixes this week. The staff could not have been nicer. Intake was fast and easy. Discharge was just as quick but very informative. On the second day the doc was moving her vehicle as I was pulling in, she came to the car , opened the door, greeted the pup and thanked me for being early. Both boys are recovering well and would recommend the clinic to anyone. PS took my son's two cats there 11 years ago and was happy then too.“

“We had an incredibly positive experience at Thrive Animal Hospital during a very stressful and emotional time for our family. Our beloved cat, Buster, was in significant pain, and getting him into his crate was heartbreaking and difficult.

Nurse Cara was a tremendous support both over the phone and in person. When we were struggling to get Buster safely into his crate because of his unrelenting pain, she was calm, reassuring, and compassionate. During the visit, her kindness toward Buster and toward us meant more than we can say.

Dr. Daniel was exceptionally thorough in his work up and communication. He took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all of our questions with patience, and approached Buster’s care with real empathy and thoughtfulness. We felt heard, supported, and confident in the plan he created for us.

Even the front desk staff went above and beyond. One team member kindly lent me her phone charger when my battery was dying, which was such a small but meaningful act during a hard day.

We left with a clear plan and medications to help keep Buster comfortable, and most importantly, we left feeling cared for. We are so grateful to this team for their skill, compassion, and humanity.“

“I highly recommend Rocky Gorge for emergency treatment and any surgical procedure your animal needs. Rocky Gorge Animal Hospital is an economical piece of heaven filled with talented, compassionate, knowledgeable, thorough, beyond friendly and truly remarkable angels. My dog was seriously injured in an accident and needed a difficult orthopedic surgery. Dr. Morris, who also performed my family dog's ACL surgery, performed my dogs fractured humerus surgery exceeding well, especially given its level of difficulty, while being extremely conscientious of the cost to the customer. They have been a Godsend in performing my dogs difficult surgery while giving her the best care I could ask for, using a laser to close up her wounds after surgery, and doing this all with the foundation in mind to make it as affordable to the client as possible for example not charging me for suture removal. They provided an estimate that included a low end and high end of the procedure, and I always felt that they followed a code of ethics that I never felt like my dogs care and treatment was being exploited and capitalized on but the very opposite. I'm so grateful for Rocky Gorge because they took beyond exceptional care for my dog during surgeries and procedures and made it so without leaving me in years of debt. Thank you to the incredible orthopedic surgeon Dr. Morris, and all the staff, technicians and pharmacists that help set my mind at ease during the extremely difficult time for me going through a serious accident with my dog. I am beyond blessed for the angels and the immaculate, detailed surgeries, procedures and post-op care they provided for not only my dog, but myself as well!“

“We have been taking our dogs here for about 12 years and never had a bad experience. On Martin Luther King day our 14 1/2 year old lab experienced some sort of neurological episode and we knew it was probably time to say goodbye. I called the office knowing it would be a busy day with people off from work. They offered to have us come in right before their lunch time. After spending some time petting and loving on Brownie, the vet agreed that it was probably our sweet Brownie’s time. The entire staff were so considerate and allowed us to spend as much time as we wanted saying goodbye(even though we know it was eating into their lunch time) They made us the sweetest paw and nose prints as well. Brownie also had exceptional care 5 years ago after an emergency surgery. At that time the vet called us every day from surgery to her follow up appointment to check on her. They have also provided amazing care for our other two dogs. I can’t imagine them not always offering the best care possible.“

I truly have to thank this clinic and their staff from the bottom of my heart. They squeezed me in for an emergency visit day of despite being fully booked.
