“I loved my visit. I went in for a facial (fantastic) and then opted for a massage (also fantastic). The spa building is not super-fancy, which made me love it even more. It's a small studio above a hair salon which is decorated in a peaceful palette of aqua and mauve. A hidden gem. Sandra really knows her stuff. You never want to put your face in the hands of someone who doesn't know what they're doing, and I felt complete confidence in her. My skin has not felt this good in years. Visiting Paradise of Beauty was just what I needed to lift my spirits on a rainy Saturday. I will be back as soon as possible.“

Kandis did my manicure and pedicure and she made my experience so relaxing that i fell asleep! she was warm, professional, meticulous, and did a beautiful job. “I've been getting my hair cut here for the last several years since moving to the area. The women who work here are fantastic, especially Mesu, the owner. I like it because it's nice and clean without being so fancy that the money is going to the branding rather than the quality of service. I also like that they will give folks a cut for free if they are unemployed but trying to get a job. That's the kind of local, community-based company I like to support. And maybe my husband looked a little scruffy when he went the first time, but they asked him if that was why he was coming in because he's trying to find a job and mentioned they offer that service, and I thought that was very gracious because then people don't feel uncomfortable having to ask for charity. Also, their coffee is amazing.“

“I was visiting DC with a friend and we decided to book a couples massage for 90 minutes at Tusuva, and it ended up being one of the best parts of our trip. The weather was weirdly cold for May, so the hot stones and hot towels felt amazing, honestly exactly what we needed. I didn't realize how much tension I was carrying until halfway through when I completely zoned out. We had also been walking all over the city, so the foot massage part was a lifesaver. My feet were so sore before and afterward I felt like I could actually keep exploring without complaining every five minutes.

It also looked like the spa is in the process of remodeling, but everything was super clean and you can tell it's going to be really nice and modern once it's finished. The whole place had a really calm, welcoming vibe.
