Note: All the veterinarians and staff display professionalism at all times, except for this staff member.
I wanted to share with you about the experience I had during a phone call to the office at precisely 3:58 PM today. I called to request a refill of Prednisolone for my cat, but unfortunately, I was met with a lack of professionalism that was quite disheartening. The representative I spoke with was not only condescending but also dismissive and unkind. I felt as if my concerns were ridiculed and my situation was treated with a startling lack of empathy. This experience left me feeling insulted and frustrated, as I had hoped for a more supportive interaction regarding my request.
I told her that I urgently need the asthma medication for my cat, who has run out of it and needs it for her health. I already explained that I missed my last appointment, but she brought this up again, which was frustrating. I understand that my cat must be examined before I can get a prescription. However, she questioned my relationship with the clinic, suggesting that I might be getting medications from other pharmacies, which is why she needs to be checked first. It would have been better for her to check my file first before making such assumptions. As a patient at their clinic since 2019, I have found her comments to be unreasonable and out of line.
I wanted to discuss available options with her, but she abruptly cut me off, insisting that she had severed any possibility of conversation. She claimed that nothing could be addressed until my cat had her check-up. However, I needed to make it clear that there are always alternatives to consider. I attempted to explain my perspective, but she kept repeating that the situation relied solely on Yulia's medical evaluation. I find it frustrating that my concerns were disregarded, as I believe we should explore all avenues, regardless of the circumstances.
She could have said, "We regret to inform you that we are unable to provide any medications at this time, as it is necessary for the veterinarian to conduct an examination first. Dr. Paquin will be available tomorrow, and I will ensure to update you accordingly. I appreciate your understanding."
I wish to express my feelings regarding this matter, which I believe are significant and should be given respectful consideration. She refused to engage with the crucial information I needed to share about my cat's asthma and IBS. I can't have her in the emergency hospital; her presence would only complicate things and distract from what’s vital for my cat's care.
It's disappointing to see a lack of understanding and empathy in customer service, where compassion should be a core value. She requires foundational communication skills, with a particular emphasis on empathy, sentence structure, and the effective delivery of messages.

We took our furbaby to Anderson’s . Sabel was treated so good . I definitely recommend this place. Friendly, professional, and they treat the animals amazingly. I’m sure Sabel will always enjoy the visits and treats.
THANK YOU to all the amazing staff and doctors at Anderson’s. You are my go to clinic, and always will be. You’ve laughed with me and cried with me over my pets, over the years, and I SO appreciate the humanity and knowing deep down that you are always looking out for the welfare of my animals. Thank YOU for putting up with us “owners”. I’m sure your careers would be so much easier if the animals could get to you all on their own! LOL
