“I had a great experience with Paul! The price rate is comparable to other driving schools, but I appreciated being located here in Somerville because these roads are so busy that you'll be prepared for anything. I was able to pass my road test (first try) after 5-6 lessons (took around 1 lesson each week), and it was very easy to schedule them. Paul is great at explaining, and emphasizes the importance of being a safe driver. He was also able to schedule my road test for me, and was a great help that day (I also recommend scheduling a lesson right before your test, to get you situated).

I also appreciated that he didn't waste time, especially since I was on a fast schedule. Lesson 1 and we were on the roads, which I found to be very helpful because the only way to learn is by doing. Highly recommend using this school, especially as an adult learner.“

“It’s true that Ed’s rates are higher (90 an hour), but you won’t get similar quality teaching anywhere else. Ed is very attentive and never looks at his phone while teaching you. “Last week, I completed my JOL program with JLW Auto School and passed my road test on my first attempt.

For the classroom portion, Jennifer does an excellent job covering everything you need to know before beginning the driving and observation hours included in the program.

For behind-the-wheel instruction, I had Kevin as my driving instructor. Kevin was an amazing teacher. He was patient, easygoing, knowledgeable, and always willing to correct mistakes in a respectful and constructive way. He never came across as rude or passive-aggressive, which made the entire learning experience much more comfortable and enjoyable.

The price for 2 hours of driving was affordable, they had availabilities that always fit my schedule, and I was prepared enough to pass my road test the first time.
