Friendship Auto school is recommended because of instructors like Mr. Dominique Honore. He is the best driving instructor I have come across. He knew what he was doing, he was patient with me and his car was in good condition. The few times I was under his instruction enabled me to pass my ROAD test on the first attempt. I had a great experience with Paul! The price rate is comparable to other driving schools, but I appreciated being located here in Somerville because these roads are so busy that you'll be prepared for anything. I was able to pass my road test (first try) after 5-6 lessons (took around 1 lesson each week), and it was very easy to schedule them. Paul is great at explaining, and emphasizes the importance of being a safe driver. He was also able to schedule my road test for me, and was a great help that day (I also recommend scheduling a lesson right before your test, to get you situated).

I had only practiced driving a few times, so I had a LOT of anxiety about being behind the wheel. Ultimately, the only way to get over that & start to actually learn and improve is to *do it* — and you're driving on the actual road from your first lesson.
