About JLW Auto School
JLW Auto School offers a great learning experience with professional and polite instructors. They teach students everything needed to feel confident and capable behind the wheel. Many students pass their road tests on the first try, thanks to the school's accommodating schedule and excellent teaching. The instructors, including Kaz and Kevin, are patient, knowledgeable, and communicate clearly, making learning to drive easier for anxious drivers. Prices are very reasonable, and the school's goal is to help students pass their road test. Highly recommended for anyone looking to learn or improve driving skills.
Last week, I completed my JOL program with JLW Auto School and passed my road test on my first attempt.
For the classroom portion, Jennifer does an excellent job covering everything you need to know before beginning the driving and observation hours included in the program.
For behind-the-wheel instruction, I had Kevin as my driving instructor. Kevin was an amazing teacher. He was patient, easygoing, knowledgeable, and always willing to correct mistakes in a respectful and constructive way. He never came across as rude or passive-aggressive, which made the entire learning experience much more comfortable and enjoyable.

I got my license with JLW, and I wanted to leave an honest and neutral review.
My instructor was Jennifer. She was very nice, polite, and well behaved as a person, which I appreciated. However, I personally did not feel that the teaching style worked well for me. During parallel parking practice, she often pressed the brake before I could fully understand and correct my own mistakes, so it was harder for me to learn the process properly. I also felt that the rules and decision-making steps were not always explained clearly. I had so much anxiety around driving, and it was really hard for me to even entertain the idea because of PTSD from a bad car accident I had been in. At 22 years old, it felt like everyone around me already knew how to drive, so taking that step was scary for me.
A coworker recommended Kevin at JLW Driving School, and I’m so grateful they did. Kevin was funny, kind, patient, and understanding — exactly what I needed to feel comfortable behind the wheel. He made learning so much less intimidating and always kept me encouraged.
