I went to Pleasant Wellness for acupuncture, and Julia started with a pointed and impactful physical assessment. She prepared me for treatment by palpating the areas, scanning for visual imbalances, and cupping my chest and my back. She identified upper body/back weakness, muscular imbalances from carrying my 45lb child on the same side all the time, and misalignment in my cervical spine. She was able to realign it by releasing the fascia and associated tension. **I left the clinic feeling euphoric from the lack of pain!** Julia is the utmost professional, and she has impeccable intuition and knowledge of the interrelated body systems. You know how you always look for the perfect pillow, today this was my perfect pillow. Normally, my go to is a deep tissue or sport massage but I met with Bella a Thai masseuse. “I got acupuncture with Jose to supplement my IVF treatment in April 2023. I started the treatment in early April and had my egg retrieval by the end of May. I started to see Jose after 4 failed IVF cycles from which we had zero PGT normal embryos. After the treatment with him, I had 24 eggs retrieved and we ended up with 2 PGT normal embryos from that cycle. In my previous cycles, I used to have around 18-20 eggs on the day of the stimulation. But never many of them made it to the retrieval day. In the previous 4 cycles, they retrieved 11, 4, 16, and 9 eggs respectively and we never had a normal embryo from those cycles. From those 4 cycles, we sent 4 embryos in total for PGT (1 embryo per cycle) and none of them were normal. After the acupuncture treatment with Jose, 24 eggs made it to the retrieval day, we got 4 embryos, and 2 of them were PGT normal. Jose’s treatment did wonders for me. We were shocked about this result. We are so grateful to him! His holistic approach kept me relaxed, positive, and excited for good results, and obviously helped the eggs to develop evenly at a similar pace, which is very important. We can’t thank him enough! Initially, my husband was very skeptical about acupuncture and generally about non-Western treatment options. But he is now so grateful that I insisted that we invest in acupuncture too. Your doctor too might be skeptical about acupuncture. However, a standard IVF treatment alone works rarely for many women.
