“Glen Goddard and Goddard Floor Specialist refinished the hardwood floor on our first floor in July 2026. Glen and his crew did a prefect job! We highly recommend them! Glen is so easy to work with. He is easy to communicate with, and very responsive to email and text. He is meticulous and has amazing attention to detail. He and his crew do wonderful work. His price quote listed everything they would do, and he delivered on that. His price was very reasonable. We asked if he could add a couple of things that we thought of later (sanding and staining the stair treads and staining the railings). He said no problem and did a perfect job on those items too. Glen and Goddard Floor specialists are a pleasure to work with, and they do great work! The floors came out perfect! We were amazed at the difference! We are so happy with the results! We recommend Glen and Goddard Floor Specialists completely. I’ve attached some before and after photos.<br><br>Here are the details of our job. Our oak hardwood floors were installed and finished in 2009. They were now showing a lot of wear and tear, especially in the kitchen, where they had turned almost black. They floor boards also had cupping, so the floor wasn’t perfectly flat. Glen Goddard came out and looked at the floor, and said sanding and refinishing them would fix both problems. The old floors were finished in an oil-based polyurethane, which had turned almost orange over time. We wanted to lighten up the floors, and not have them get orange or darker over time. Glen recommended a water-based sealer, which would not darken over time. He sanded a 1-foot by 4-foot patch on our floor, and applied four different color sealers to give us color options. He was very meticulous in how he did this, and it was just what we needed to choose a color. We went with the “clear seal”, which lightened our floors up perfectly, without making them too white. The floors look so good now! Glen and Goddard Floor Specialists are very good at what they do, and the results are amazing!”
