He is incredibly patient with younger kids and truly understands how to work with them at their own pace. He takes the time to make new students feel comfortable and welcomed, which makes such a difference. Highly recommend his classes for any parent looking for a supportive and encouraging environment!“

3:30 - 8:15PM
127 W Central St, Natick“Our son has been attending for a year, and we’ve seen the discipline he learns at Taekwondo reflect in his behavior at school and at home. We love the family-oriented environment that stays true to its martial arts roots. A huge plus for us is the flexible schedule; there are no fixed class times, so we can attend any of the available sessions that work for us each week.“
3 - 9:30PM
170 Kerry Pl, Norwood“As someone with severe learning impairments, I can truly say that this place has really helped me significantly in my life. Not just through the lessons I’ve learned but the consistent encouraging and positive reinforcement to never give up and keep moving forward. Not just A place to train martial arts, but a place Where you feel welcome and motivated“
5:30AM - 8PM
290 Providence Hwy, Westwood“Whether moving/living nearby or stopping by when passing through, I highly recommend training at the Lab. They have numerous classes for all skill and experience levels and offer private lessons too! The Lab even has competition-specific classes for those who are serious about competing at local, nation-wide, and/or within prestigious/high level organizations. As a regular competitor, the Lab offered/offers me the unique opportunity to train for competitions with others who also have similar competition goals and rigor—something often not offered at other gyms. Further yet, as a woman competitor, it is often a challenge to find gyms that draw in other women competitors to train with; the Lab has skilled, experienced, and competitive women on their mats. If you are serious about competing and you are a woman, do yourself a favor and train at the Lab!“
10:30AM - 8:30PM
245 W Central St #2, Natick“The coaches work professionally with kids, and the program is consistent with correct techniques. Thank you to all the coaches who show each week to support and lead our kids.“

My daughter has gained a lot of valuable self-defense skills and her confidence has grown tremendously thanks to his outstanding teaching. The Little Dragons classes are perfect for kids. They get a great work out and learn a lot. If you're thinking about enrolling your kids in martial arts classes, I HIGHLY recommend the Kids Martial Arts program at AMAC.“
9AM - 9:30PM
66 Winchester St, Newton Highlands“Calvin Chin's Martial Arts Academy came to my company to help celebrate the Lunar New Year with their lion dance. We filled three floors of lobby space with our employees watching the performance and excitedly engaging with the lion. The way the lion interacted with the audience together with the music from the beating drums created such a fun and memorable experience for our employees. Thank you!“
7:30 - 8:30AM
125 Walnut St, Watertown“Sifu Lindsay creates an environment where everyone is welcomed, respected, and encouraged to grow. Every session offers something new for learners at all levels.“
1 - 9:30PM
53 Jeffrey Ave, Holliston“My wife and I decided to take some jiu-jitsu training so I looked up online the self-defense academy in Holliston and I contacted him so he said come and we will give you a free one night training session so we did go and we loved it. We decided to sign up for this ourselves and do some training. I’m gonna tell you you think you’re too old to learn no you’re not I am over 60 years old and I also normally go to the gym a few times a week. My wife is over 50 and she loves it. She also works out with me at the gym. When you meet the owner, who is the master instructor and his name is Jim he is super dynamite individual. He is also great encourager. Also all his instructors that do attend, his Academy are very down to earth and also very real. There are young teenagers that also go to the jiu-jitsu training session twice a week and these young people are also very down to earth and also very real.
I also suffer with severe PTSD from combat since joining this academy. It has been helping me tremendously. You can also see how Jim and also his instructors are very friendly caring they also tease you a little bit, but it’s all in fun . They really make you feel very relaxed when you walk into the dojo you feel peace from from it. My wife and I have only been going for a short time and we’re gonna continue to do this as as long as we can. Like I said you’re never too old to learn something new. Also, if you suffer with any form of stress, PTSD anxiety or whatever else is traveling you I highly recommend signing up. You will not regret it what I also like about Jim, including all the other instructors, they really make you feel a part of the group. They also encourage you. It’s easy to get frustrated when you are learning something new for the very first time they won’t let you give up they push you to the max. I have a lot of anger due to my PTSD and I’m on different medications so I can help manage all my anxiety and to keep my level down and stay away from my flashbacks. I can tell you right now since just in the short time that we have been there, I feel at peace with my PTSD. I encourage anyone who reads my post please check out this self-defense Academy. I think once you meet Jim and also the other instructors including the other students you’re gonna want to continue. If I could give this a 20 star rating, I would do it. It’s even better than going to the gym and believe me my wife and I love to work out together. I know you won’t regret learning this if you sign up and you’ll see what we experience. Check it out! it’s all well worth the training and also you will find one thing about Jim, which is very true. He is a man of great peace. I can see why he’s good at what he does because this man really does care about all his students, he wants people to learn jujutsu and he’s wanted to do whatever he can to help you learn it.“

1739 Centre St, West Roxbury“I have been going here for a couple of years and I love it. I was initially set to do a trial class on my own but I brought my fiance with me and he took to it as well. Having a chance to learn martial arts skills not only on my own but with my partner has not only improved both of our fitness and discipline, but it has made our connection better as well. If you are looking for a good martial arts school to go to, you should definitely go here!“
10AM - 9:30PM
301 Broadway, Arlington“My child has been taking classes here for a month now and she loves it. It’s such a good outlet to learn manners and body control. Mr. Charles and the other instructors are so good with the kids and I’ve been pleased every time we have gone.“

12 - 8:30PM
739 Beacon St, Newton Centre“Our son loves sensei Brandan! We sense that Sensei understands the children development, he is fun and full of humor while being strict of having class expectations! We often say “what Sensi Brandan talked during taekwondo class today?” when our son forgets the polite words, it often works!
Our son runs a lot and shakes off a lot of energy at Taekwondo class. So far this is his favorite class
On top of that, Sensi Brandan is flexible with schedule changes, life happens!
We strongly recommend if your sweet little one needs to run off steam“
11AM - 7:35PM
263 Trapelo Rd, Belmont“? Huge thanks to Grandmaster Jay and the entire team at JS US Taekwondo! ?
We are incredibly grateful for your 35 years of dedication to martial arts and for guiding William on his journey. In just 10 months, he has achieved his black belt, and this accomplishment wouldn’t have been possible without your expert coaching, encouragement, and wisdom.
As a 7th-degree black belt, Grandmaster Jay is not only a master of technique but also a true embodiment of the spirit of Taekwondo. His leadership and influence extend far beyond the mat, shaping students into confident, disciplined, and courageous individuals.
JS US Taekwondo is an outstanding school where students learn respect, resilience, and bravery. The rigorous training has helped William grow stronger, both physically and mentally. The entire coaching team here is phenomenal, creating an environment where students thrive and develop not just as martial artists, but as individuals.
Thank you, Grandmaster Jay, for being an amazing mentor and role model! We deeply appreciate everything you do! ??

“I have been wanting to try martial arts for the last 6 years but life got in the way, as if often does. Recently, I realized that NOW was the time to try something that would not only help me with my physical health but mental health as well. When googling 'adult karate' in my neighborhood, I was pleasantly surprised to see a dojo close to me with very positive reviews. That was just a few months ago and I truly can't comprehend how much Sensei Rocky DiRico's dojo and his teachings has changed my life for the better. Sensei Rocky's dojo attracts exceptionally kind people (adults AND children) of all walks of life. The is a direct correlation to Sensei Rocky and the energy he puts into his teachings and just life in general. Since joining Sensei Rocky's dojo and taking karate lessons weekly, I find myself worrying less about things out of my control and just feeling mentally healthier and happier. I had heard many positive stories on how martial arts has helped children but had no idea how much it would help me as an adult as well. A huge thank you to Sensei Rocky!“

The instructors are fantastic with kids — they know how to keep them motivated while still being patient and supportive. I really appreciate how they have a clear plan to help kids grow step by step, both in skill and confidence. Highly recommend this place for any parent looking for a structured and encouraging environment for their child!“

“The experience that both my kids and we have shared is nothing but stellar. Master instructor Eric has taught them not only physical skills, but has made them stronger mentally as well. It has been a great journey for both of them with this program, and yet they strive to learn more. Worth every penny, the time and the sweat that has been put into their physical and mental training as children , growing into decent human beings. We have seen them progress so much for the past 8 years, acknowledging the work done by Shihan Eric, outside of home and school! Highly recommended martial arts training!“
