It is great exercise, good skills and even a little fun mixed in. Sensei even goes out of her way to have nice events for the children such as movie night, Halloween parties and other events. “So happy we found One Step Beyond! My boys (6 and 9) tried soccer, baseball, flag football, but nothing “stuck” until we discovered karate back in March 2021. Fast forward to two classes a week (soon to be 4 ?), 2 belt tests and now a competition team/weapons (all dull, nothing sharp here), my boys couldn’t be happier. Sensei Marie and Sensei Erin are wonderful with the kids and it’s a wide range of all ages and backgrounds. “I started my child with BUKA 8 years ago, when he was four and 5 years later I joined the fun with him. Even though I joined to spent quality time and a bond with my son, I found myself IN LOVE with the art taught at this great academy.
