Alex very capably diagnosed the issue as a blown breaker. He did not have that type on his vehicle and had to get the part, with this time being billed. It was explained that electricians cannot carry every part for every home/business. While the cost seemed higher than we expected, I’m not an expert at electrical rates. Alex was highly skilled, the issue was repaired quickly, and we soon had hot water.

His pricing is fair and competitive. Another time he came to look at smoke alarm wiring and I realized it was due to water damage on one of the detectors. I just had to replace the faulty detector. I offered to pay for his time and he did not accept anything since he lives nearby. I told him what I thought the problem was - faulty circuit breaker - and he asked me to text him some photos of the circuit breaker and the outlet it was for. He had me do a few other minor tasks as he tried to assess what the problem was. He said he would come out the next morning and he did. He was able to quickly assess what the real problem was - an old outlet box - and he was able to fix it in a short time.
