A flooded finished basement is so stressful, I'm happy to report that ServiceMaster by Gilmore came out so fast (about an hour after my call) and jumped right into clearing the water out of our finished basement. “On Christmas Eve at approximately 10 PM I discovered that my finished basement, which I rarely use since the children moved out, was soaken wet everywhere I walked and looked. At the time I did not know the source of the leak, only that its effects were widespread. On the recommendation of a family member to contact Bostonian Cleaning and Restoration, I called late in the evening just wanting to get on their “call back” list. Imagine my surprise when I received a call from them on Christmas morning asking if I needed immediate attention. Having turned off the water and not wanting to disturb anyone’s celebration, I indicated that assistance could wait until the next day. Early the next morning two staff came to my home to assess the damage which they determined to be extensive: all carpet and pads in every room had to be ripped up and ceilings had to be taken down as did parts of some walls. (I note here that this was not simply a visual assessment; they had tools which measure moisture in walls and ceilings.) As explained by the staff, we needed to work quickly to prevent mold and mildew, an important remedy given that I care for grandchildren in my home. Within a few hours a crew was at my home completing the required work. The extent of the damage was documented by the crew in the event I needed to offer proof on an insurance claim. As an important and added precaution, Boston Cleaning and Restoration set up four or five enormous fans and three dehumidifiers in my basement to eliminate moisture. Throughout all of this, the staff and crew were helpful, courteous, and professional. At all times I knew I was receiving excellent guidance and professional care. I cannot recommend more highly the quality of the staff, the excellence of their work, and the care and attention I received from every single person at Boston Cleaning and Restoration…..all during the week after Christmas.“

“A pipe burst in my kitchen, and at first I called a different company I had found online. This other company's agent bullied me into a $3869 deposit before they would even bring in fans and dehumidifier for the emergency drying out that had to be done immediately to prevent further damage! And then massively padded the bill...and most of it my insurance wouldn't reimburse me for! Dave Crowley was recommended to me by a person I trusted while I was struggling with this other company. I fired the first company and hired Dave. He and his son and his crew were fantastic all the way through! They came immediately and tested for moisture, evaluated what needed doing, pulled out the fridge so the floor and wall behind could dry, etc. Dave spoke to that bad company's representative and to my insurance adjuster for me and with me. He generously sent a lot of time and energy helping me with my insurance adjusters toward resolving these and other issues, which they ultimately did. (I believe my insurance adjusters would have made a much smaller settlement without Dave's intervention, and without his advice, help, and support in what to communicate to them.) Regarding the work, he went over with me carefully everything that needed doing to remediate the flood damage, and why. He listened to and was immediately responsive to my concerns around my chemical sensitivities, and gave inspired practical ideas for restoring my kitchen without aggravating them. He was also here every day checking the work. Dave found affordable cabinets for me that were less likely to off-gas...and which did work out great! He recommended the store where I found affordable ceramic tile for the floor, and which his team expertly installed. All the work was done on schedule. Everyone who came took care and pride in their work. I give Dave Crowley Services my highest recommendation.“

“We are so happy we hired Raven to restore our old windows. The windows desperately needed the full treatment to bring them back to life. We had a lot of wood rot and decay, misalignment, loud sash weights, broken cords, etc. Now they function beautifully - sashes glide easily up and down, top and bottom rails line up so we can engage the locks, and they have all new weatherstripping. And now they look incredible too. The original wavy glass is lovely and one window with florentine glass sparkles like jewelry. We couldn't be more satisfied. This team works miracles.“

“They came to board up my house after it burned down. Sadly there were two cats in the house during the fire; one was found deceased shortly after the fire stopped. The other was still missing and believed to be alive The young man, who I really wish I got the name of, who was boarding up the house promised my niece he’d find the cat however long it took him. Hours later he came to the door, having found the cat cold and shaken but alive. Not only did he save my nieces cat, but in his free time he used some spare wood to make a makeshift cross for the cat who didn’t make it.
