“Mike Selig and his crew from Selig plumbing have been my plumbers for some time now and they have saved me from major plumbing emergencies on a number of occasions. I cannot recommend them enough. I went through a major flood, I’ve had renovation issues, I had a water filter system almost blow up my house, and I lost water to my house that NO-ONE else could fix and they rushed over on a major summer holiday for a busy beach town today to get me my water back and remove the toxic water filter system and install new piping. Mike never makes you feel like a job is too small or too big, and even a clogged toilet or sink is something he or his crew will make time for. He has made official phone calls for me with many town and other authorities to advocate for me with the filter flood issue and given outstanding and true advice on how to protect my home and avoid a catastrophic event like this again. They’re fast, reliable, talented, hard working, effective, efficient, highly skilled and highly knowledgeable, and friendly, and I recommend them with full confidence. They can be trusted and counted on and will help you in the most stressful scenario and also take you seriously on a minor one. They also remodel and Mike is in real estate! “Fantastic work provided by David. We've got an older oil burner that needed a thorough service/cleaning and David answered immediately. He showed up on time and ready to go and was extremely professional. When he was done he provided before and after photos (which were extremely helpful in showing how dirty our system was) and explained what he did. Very friendly and capable, would highly recommend.

“I’ve been in buisness for over 30 years and this company is the best I’ve ever seen or used. I’ve had to call them 3 times in the last month to fix my walkin cooler, freezer and another cooler, not only did they come and fix the issues the same day, But I had to call them on the hottest day in the last 100 years when it was 105F and my walk in shot up to 58F and as you would normally expect a company to say “ we are booked right now we can’t come out until next week” these guys came the SAME DAY, late at night. When everyone is done for the day, their techs are out coming to fix your equipment. The techs are great guys, very smart. And as far as pricing goes, they are more than reasonable.. I almost don’t want to leave this review because I want to keep these guys all to myself but I felt I just had to leave a review as I am extremely happy with this company. I will be using them to install a new central cooling system in the fall.“

“My Family has been an Alvin Hollis customer for atleast 43 years. They continuously deliver prompt, professional, and comprehensive service. Other companies may, MAY offer an initial lower price on oil or installation of various quality products. However, those customers soon find out that not only has their service experience been less than satisfactory, but also, experiencing unsettling price increases. As a comprehensive company, Alvin Hollis can do so many things - from replacing all disintegrating cast Iron plumbing waste lines with PVC, to service and installation of virtually every type of HVAC equipment. Not just your average "oil" co. Their service plan has kept my 28 year old furnace (Alvin Hollis initially installed) running smoothly, and when I inquired about replacement, service engineer - John Gargiulo actually advised that given its condition and outstanding record of service, there is no need for replacement at the time. The point being - Alvin Hollis, specifically Mr. Gargiulo doesn't push the upsell; only an objective evaluation of the situation. Infact, there is never any pressure - even when I recently converted from an oil-fired hotwater heater to an electric. All of my questions were answered by Mr Gargiulo - patiently and professionally over a 2 week period prior to signing the contract. I very much appreciated all of his work on the project!! Also, the "Budget Plan" has really been a godsend in paying for services. The entire staff (especially Pat, when i call with questions, or asking for information) has always been courteous, professional, and knowledgable!! Finally, having been a care-giver for 8 years for my mom (with a debilitating health condition) I could not afford to be with out heat or hot water. “OK... Another Friday afternoon... 1500hrs... New England summer... Let's start with one word: HOT. Like, really hot... Now, add some modifiers to that: scorching, sweltering, and searing. And for good measure, let's add some apropos meteorological catch phrases: hazy, hot, and humid heat wave... By now, you're starting to get a picture. Let's add some more contour, brightness, and shape to the visual... During one of the most oppressive hot spells of 2024, our air conditioning unit died on us, totally passed from nature to eternity. Not pretty... We called around. We got on the world wide web. We scoured social media. We flashed the Bat-signal. We did everything short of sending out morse codes, faxed distress letters, and telegrams via Pony Express. Desperation setting in... Then, we call Cardarelli Plumbing and Heating of Quincy. Joseph answers. He tells us he doesn't do window AC units but knows a handyman named Richard who might be able to help. Joe also says he'll call Rich immediately when we hang up... Thank you, Joe... 1800hrs... Rich calls. He asks pointed questions about what we need and promises to call the following Saturday morning... Rich came by with his teammate Michael and installed our window unit and a few other handyman jobs. Good fortune... Fast forward to Saturday night live. (Lite humor there.) Temps are cool now. I'm kicking back watching the Red Sox comeback vs. the Dodgers of Los Angeles and counting my blessings. Life's good...
