“Met Joe from J and J Home Improvement at a home show in Hanover the end of January. We discussed our siding needs and we made an appointment for him to come to my Weymouth home that week. Joe came on time and gave me a quote the next day for residing my home with Certainteed Monogram vinyl siding as well as new soffits, gutters and downspouts. We also discussed a new front door.Joe’s quote was accepted and his timeframe to start was 3-4 weeks. He was able to start 2-28-24 and completed the work on 3-4-24.The crew was amazing! They worked hard each day and did a thorough cleanup each day before leaving. They were very courteous and polite. My neighbors have been commenting on the good work they did and how hard they worked. Their work was excellent and it looks great! I wish I had found them before and would definitely hire them again.I also had them install a new front door and their installer Dave was excellant. “Floyd is the most honest and reliable contractor I have worked with. I am an architect and I have been through many many contractors until I found Floyd. My architect friend recommended Floyd and that’s how I found him.What he built for me was not an easy construction. It was to add a fairly large family room with skylights and the basement under, and three car garage attached to 1800’s old house. Floyd was easy to work with, courteous, hardworking, knowledgeable and skillful. His price was also reasonable. Many contractors bid cheap to earn the project and charge hefty fees for any changes down the road but he did not do any of that. ( There are always changes, small or large, in construction. That’s just the fact.) And most importantly, TIME EFFICIENT. He finished the job earlier than estimated!!! Never before I had a contractor finished the job on time let alone finishing it earlier than estimated.I highly recommend Floyd.“
“Three terms you don't hear when speaking about contractors: Honesty, timely and efficient, and pride of Workmanship. If you use Liam Neary Construction you will be using these terms and smiling as you tell others about your amazing experience. My roof leaked with water coming in through the chimney. The water came into the utility room creating a mini swimming pool and the hot water tank shut down. Liam came out within an hour of my phone call got my water running showed me how to clean the sensor for the future and reset the hot water tank. He scheduled to come out later that day to replace the flashing on the roof to hopefully fix the problem. Unfortunately for me, it was not the full resolution. In the next rainstorm, I got water in the chimney again and reached out to Liam. This time it was a Saturday and was thinking I might see him at the start of the work week or need to pay crazy money just to get him to show up. This was not my experience he showed up in 2 hours reviewed what he had done and came up with a new solution. He determined that the chimney needed some additional work and adjusted the price because of the original work that he had done correctly, but did not solve the problem completely. If you want the job done right call Liam Neary Construction you won't be disappointed.“

“Athanas Construction is run by Nick Athanas who does general contracting. I have used Athanas Construction twice in the last year. Once to replace my roof, and again to change the exterior trim on a large rotting window frame.While Athanas Construction is located in the South Shore (Weymouth), they are willing and able to come into Boston, which is a huge plus in my book, since I live in Roslindale which is not easily accessibe to any major highway.I found the service to be great. To begin with, the communication is fast and clear. Nick Athanas will get back to me by phone, email, or text. He is clear about when he is coming, what he will be working on, how much it will cost, and he let's me know the schedule in advance. If he has a schedule change, he also let's me know in advance. He uses a simple but effective online app called Joist to bill me which shows how much I have paid so far, and how much I owe.Second, the Athanas team does a great job. For both jobs that I ordered, the final product was solidly built and looks great. I am a happy customer.Finally, while it's not cheap, I find Athanas pricing to be very reasonable and more affordable than other companies. When I was pricing my new roof, I talked with 4 different companies, and Athanas estimate came in at the lowest price. Furthermore, Nick is willing to discuss options to keep costs low, which some contractors won't do.I truly recommend Athanas Construction for any contracting work in the Boston area.“

“James and Steven were great. They gave us a very fair estimate on our wheelchair accessible ramp compared to other contractors. They produced a contract right away and offered to pull the permits themselves. They did an excellent job when it came to the build - the frame is strong, trex walkway, and vinyl railings and post covers looked great. These guys are perfectionists.
