“Three terms you don't hear when speaking about contractors: Honesty, timely and efficient, and pride of Workmanship. If you use Liam Neary Construction you will be using these terms and smiling as you tell others about your amazing experience. My roof leaked with water coming in through the chimney. The water came into the utility room creating a mini swimming pool and the hot water tank shut down. Liam came out within an hour of my phone call got my water running showed me how to clean the sensor for the future and reset the hot water tank. He scheduled to come out later that day to replace the flashing on the roof to hopefully fix the problem. Unfortunately for me, it was not the full resolution. In the next rainstorm, I got water in the chimney again and reached out to Liam. This time it was a Saturday and was thinking I might see him at the start of the work week or need to pay crazy money just to get him to show up. This was not my experience he showed up in 2 hours reviewed what he had done and came up with a new solution. He determined that the chimney needed some additional work and adjusted the price because of the original work that he had done correctly, but did not solve the problem completely. “Athanas Construction is run by Nick Athanas who does general contracting. I have used Athanas Construction twice in the last year. Once to replace my roof, and again to change the exterior trim on a large rotting window frame.While Athanas Construction is located in the South Shore (Weymouth), they are willing and able to come into Boston, which is a huge plus in my book, since I live in Roslindale which is not easily accessibe to any major highway.I found the service to be great. To begin with, the communication is fast and clear. Nick Athanas will get back to me by phone, email, or text. He is clear about when he is coming, what he will be working on, how much it will cost, and he let's me know the schedule in advance. If he has a schedule change, he also let's me know in advance. He uses a simple but effective online app called Joist to bill me which shows how much I have paid so far, and how much I owe.Second, the Athanas team does a great job. For both jobs that I ordered, the final product was solidly built and looks great. I am a happy customer.Finally, while it's not cheap, I find Athanas pricing to be very reasonable and more affordable than other companies. When I was pricing my new roof, I talked with 4 different companies, and Athanas estimate came in at the lowest price.
